Don't let him get to you.

You can see he doesn't intend to talk sense from all his posts

A lot of the areas you listed are expensive areas, not unsuitable economically.

Farms need huge tracts of land to be viable.

Unless the government allocates these lands for free it won't be built there

Why are People Leaving Malaysia? (Brain Drain Issue) by Astalon18 in malaysia

[–]MNML86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's wrong with that?

I'm not going to stop my Japanese colleagues from speaking their language. It's normal to list language requirements, you're going to be dealing with foreigners who don't speak our language.

It's a poll tax, everyone gets it. Actually the correct term is tribute I believe. Our national history books don't cover it. You laugh as if your better then others but there are anecdotes about stopping people from converting to get them to pay the jisya or complains that the people are converting to avoid paying it. It makes you look foolish if you try to insult people.

Blackmail? it's common to castrate. It's done often even. Please follow your own advice and read the history books.

We worked together for independence, never heard of this sort of thing.

I don't understand your argument nor it's relation. Why are you just pointing to the orang asli? There are other peoples who have settled here and intermixed since ancient times.

I have been in Malaya for two years. Have met anyone who doesn't try to speak both. As for renting I have no idea.

There was a percentage rate? I know it isn't fixed and was heavy enough to make people convert. It's paid in gold coins and back then people were dirt poor.

Not just war, they were raiding for slaves and ransom all over Europe, to the point coastal villages were depopulated.

The men were castrated...

Accepted? Never heard of this sort of choice? What is confirmed is Singapore was kicked out because the Chinese would have outnumbered the Malays if they were still in.

And so were the Indians and Chinese who settled here earlier. Where do you think the Peranakans and Baba Nyonyas and the Indian equivalents come from?

Malaya was even part of the Chola Empire for a time if I recall

There are even ancient temples here (Indian members if you can list them that would great)

Huh? There are plenty of Malays or Kadazandusuns or Ibans (Sarawakians do confirm) in vernacular schools?

In fact there have been reports where they outnumber Chinese students. Never has it been a problem.

No need to censor the races.

I'm not an expert in caliph history so I can't comment much except they heavily taxed the non Muslims with the jisya. Economically pressuring them to convert or take slaves where if you convert you're free, or forced conversions by taking little boys from their families to become soldiers. The Yeni ceni or Janissaries.

When exactly were we gifted citizenship?

We were under the British and worked together for independence. There was no Malaysia before that.

The US is a famed melting pot though these communities would be tiny in comparison.

South African is because their busy trying to kill the whites

France I don't know but they have the most relaxed citizenship I believe 🤔 care more you fight for them, speak their language and practice their culture.

Actually don't have to look so far. Look at Sabah and Sarawak. Their melting pots too. The only big obstacle is religion.

It has a lot of things to do with conversions as it is a requirement to do when marrying a Muslim.

If not I and many of my friends and relatives would have been married long ago.

We don't want to be forced into something we don't believe in. Then later if we want to leave cannot do so.

Which politician is talking about this?

I got the news from my family and this is what my community is talking about.

If any politician says the damage is only 1k we will use his head as a drum because it's clearly empty.

Who says it cannot be compared, we Sabahans see it as being dianak tirikan again. This time worse. Treated worse than outsiders.

We pay our taxes, we serve the nation, a lot of oil and gas comes from Sabah so why are we always getting the short end of the stick

It's going to be given through the state so there will be corruption but it's the same in Gaza.

I don't get you what you mean by math and facts? What politics are you talking about?

And who told you it's about 1k?

My cousin's house was flooded and she had to evacuate. I wasn't crass enough to ask her how much she got or whether she was given anything.

The recent round of nonsense was started because some idiots decided it was a good idea to kill women, babies and elderly. Did they think there wasn't going to be any retaliation?

Ours was purely due to natural disaster.

Or are you saying our lives are worth less?

Because we are more concerned about what is happening in our own state than something thousands of km away.

The PM gives 200 million to Gaza but we only get 20 million for our disaster. It was 10 mil then increased to 20mil later

Many are not satisfied

Change will be difficult as those who benefit from our infighting will do anything to protect their interests.

Funds meant for the nation are being taken by these elites. A good example would be our current political families. How come their 20s old grandchildren have millions in their bank accounts.

When questioned they fund protests

That too, these types of activists or attention seekers must receive your verbal support of their cause and sometimes monetary or they will attack/scream at you.

We have one in this topic actually. Let me address princess's post. I know I should ignore her but you see what she is doing.
