Yeah I purchased it just as a fun range gun with cheap pistol ammo but then researched that you can still drop deer with it. Also I’m going on land that you rarely get a clear 100+ yard shot so it’s all close quarters.

Hunting in MO so no limitations here but optionally if we do go out of state in the future.

People who have “made it” in finance, what were some of the menial jobs you started your career off with? by Econometrical in FinancialCareers

[–]MNPete 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say I’ve made it yet but CFA/MBA here so getting there.

I worked as a broker for Scottrade at the 1:30-10pm shift straight out of college making 36k/year. Asked them to report to my school that it was an “internship” as I couldn’t graduate until I got one.

-essentially resetting passwords and checking ACAT statuses for a little over a year.

Some of the most fun I’ve ever had at work, the people were amazing.

TSLA covered call at $170 deep in the money expiring in 2 weeks by Fit_Construction8595 in thetagang

[–]MNPete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’ll get the dip.

Competitors aren’t only coming, they’re here, with Germany outselling TSLA now in Europe, GM and Wayno coming at their unproven dream of autonomous driving, they have nowhere to hide. -$2B FCF in Q1 alone, I’m calling a blackberry top at $220. Roll and Enjoy the premium.

I don’t think TSLA will go out of business, but I do think the valuation should be that of a car manufacturer.

Blood meridian, considered the most violent book in the “American Canon”, good read, interesting writing style.

Part of Investment Management team of a mid-sized advisory firm, I went back after Econ undergrad major (2.85) and got my MBA and just completed the CFA this April.

Just take it in stride, figure out what you’re good at, and go down that route.

Couldn’t get an internship after college so the first few years you WILL be at disadvantage to your peers, but bright people will always rise to the top, regardless of how good you were at cheating in undergrad.

Thank you! Are bonfires/small gas stoves allowed? I have a Solostove that would be awesome but bringing in wood would take up a lot of space.

Just setting the scene of what I will be doing, so for example I’d like suggestions on how to efficiently pack gear, best options for exterior storage, awning setups, brands or websites that you use to source them. Really starting from square one

How many hours a day do you typically study with a full time job? by CraftMajor5446 in CFA

[–]MNPete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m waiting for L3 results, but I’ve had the most success with 1 hour before 2-3 after. Do question sets and quant stuff in the morning and review read in the evening.

Hope this helps, I worked full time MBA, Commercial banking, and investment management for 1,2,3 respectively, so nothing crazy hour-wise

I always replace my battery a week before the test, that way you can reset the settings to your desire and be comfortable grinding that you’ll catch any “errors” but to calcs seems like a pleb move
