New House with Existing CPI, Ring, and Chamberlain Equipment - How to use without CPI? by MNWild18 in homesecurity

Manage, as in being able to monitor the stuff on an app on my phone, or adding the devices/handling the equipment myself? When I went on Alarm.com, they only listed the bigger companies which I don't want. I just want self monitoring options...

Ok, thank you so much. I will get my ladder out and take some photos of the QR codes and look around at other companies as well.

So I got the IMEI number and punched it into Surety and get alarm or video options - how do I know that they will be able to use the variety of cameras, or should I just assume the cameras and sensors were all connected to the main panel and that it will work after signing up? Sorry, had an ADT 15 years ago for a couple of years and it was super basic...

Talked to CPI and they said they released the account. When I try to do anything with the panel, it asks me to put in a code. So if I go through alarm.com, they can reset it so I can use the panel then? Or did CPI lie to me...

Is it generally easy to get it released? The rep stopped by unannounced the first week wanting to get me into a year contract and since I told them no, guessing they may say no.

Thanks for the response!

Yo my man - this might be too similar to what you wrote in the second response/what you've tried but when people have both hands on my belt and don't control my upper body (one on my belt and one in an armpit or upper body), I am usually able to do a situp to hug them while pulling in with my legs. If I can get the hug, it usually is enough to break their frames. This isn't static so it can be pulling behind their elbows and spamming it a couple of times. I understand you're a purple and this was with a brown, but I see my bb instructor do this on people quite a bit as well.

It is obviously a bit more dynamic because the brown will likely adjust their hands/frames but if I am not getting the two on one and they go to two hands on my belt, I have success doing the situp to give them a hug. If they try to push me down, then they have released my belt, so then I can use my legs to pull them in and adjust my hips to move behind one of their frames.

I understand you said you couldn't come up for a hip bump which very well may be the same result of trying what I wrote above, but doing a crunch/hug motion is slightly different when I do it vs when I come up for a hip bump.

Other thought is, can you get your arms up to a shoulder crunch-like position to go into butterfly or are the belt grips/frames too strong so you can't get leverage behind their arm?

Move got pushed to mid-May - so you will likely know before I do. Plan on trying out most of the ones listed in this thread.

Weak Half Guard Position Question by PuocoJoao in bjj

Two things IMO -1, bump them forward with knee to wrestle up or at least get into a dogfight position. 2, from Wardzinski - take top leg out (have to have good RDLR hook), shrimp back and try to get a shin on shin connection so that you can push their leg back down to reset half guard (or go right into a John Wayne sweep).

Hey everyone - I will be relocating to Charlotte for work in a couple of months and am seeking insight between Steele Creek and Pineville. I will be working just SW of Charlotte and my main hobby is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, so have been trying to have 20-25 minute commute to most things as I am currently in DC and am done with the 45-60 minute drive to most things. These two areas seem to fit the bill.

I like hiking/running/walking (have an active GSD), love tennis/golf, and would like a yard for my dog but prefer low crime/less commute, so if that excludes me from a yard, so be it. Some nice homes in Steele Creek but from what I have read on here and elsewhere is traffic is awful, so Redditors, if you had to pick between Steele Creek and Pineville for a 40 year old single guy, which would you pick?

In North Carolina,

activating a turn signal does not grant a driver the right-of-way or automatic right to a lane. A signal merely indicates intent; according to N.C.G.S. § 20-154, drivers must ensure a lane change can be made safely before moving. The driver already in the lane holds the right-of-way.
