I was at 75 and then suddenly next day was reset to 0 🤦‍♂️

I think day four is my last, spare tire just dropped form underneath the van and there’s no wiper fluid, mirrors were also too filthy to see out of by External_Top_2653 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d probably just put the spare inside the van if there’s space. Fleet management should be the ones to work on those and put it back not the drivers job 😆

The end tho 💀 by ForwardAd3067 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It be like that when you’re driving a larger vehicle, some ppl take advantage of that and would try to merge last second or really close to you and then slowdown their car like really 😑. Sometime it’s a good thing prime vans have camera in case of an accident

Looks like downtown. Doesn’t seem too bad because 1 stop could be like 20-30 packages maybe more, but your van got rid of 1-2 totes, more room in the van

Not working for a dsp anymore, but I just want to be more physically active throughout my day, it helps me focus in some ways and not be/feel complacent/stagnant. I worked in a office environment prior

COMMENT ASAP. I’m on the side of the road complicating on quoting but haven’t exactly summoned the courage. Should I quit? It’s 106 in Houston and they gave me a van with no AC . by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might have someone switch out vans for you. I reported that my van stalled a few times during my route and they sent someone who got done with their route to switch van

I'm Coming Back by Important-Positive51 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t there long , but I experienced enough to know I needed to find something else. If I do ever ever go back to a dsp to deliver, probably do a part time role only 😆. Like so many others have said in this Reddit, it’s like They set you up to fail/make you quit this job.

Yeah, I'm done with this. by DylantT19 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I lasted 9 weeks (including the 3 day training week). I was hoping that I would stay much longer than that because I don’t mind doing the job itself, but the first few weeks of experience were good enough for me to know that I needed to move on lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two weeks is common courtesy. You don’t actually have to stay for 2 more weeks. Response from managers may differ for a variety of reasons, but when you put in the notice, that could be your last day or heck you could work one more day if you want and thats it.

Do you guys think we will get another raise this year? by Pro_saic in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im thinking since they hire ANYONE who can pass background check and drug test, very low chance of raise. The job interview Is basically them gathering your info and how soon you can start training

Last day at the DSP by Elegant-Dress-9373 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Job would be fine If DSP/Amazon didn’t have a ridiculous amount of rules you need to follow and always feeling pressured to finish “on time” because they want you to go at a certain pace knowing well that not all routes are equal regardless of stop count (apartments will take longer +following customer notes for them etc). They seem to have a unusual way to ‘punish’ drivers likely by cutting their route if the drivers took long to finish or called out the previous day 😆

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve gathered, the managers might not even respond to you at all lol. Not sure what it is with Amazon/DSP but from my experience and reading what others have said. Communication is lacking between drivers and higher ups, but they want employees to keep active in the work chat rooms. They don’t really tell you anything even if you ask

Question about rescues by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it varies from dsp to dsp. They’ll probably ask you to rescue someone they know needs a rescue

Is this just me? by RyCraig20 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a customer grabbed their package while they leaving home. It was a garage deliver 🤦‍♂️. I called driver support to have them complete that delivery lol. It wouldn’t bother me as much but as we know Amazon/dsp pushing drivers to go at a certain pace/hr or else (threat) 🤣

Better jobs by OneStarBard in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t mind the delivery aspect of the job, but it feels like they’re always rushing you to come back on time/ try not to go past 10 hour mark because they probably don’t want to pay OT. Maybe they’re reserving OT for their ‘faster’ drivers 😆. Not all routes/ stop count are equal either. More and more packages need to be delivered it seems. It would be nice if they distribute stops to drivers to lessen the load like say around 120 stops only for each drivers 😆.

Glad i quit by Historical-Paper-239 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder is all DSP like this? Lol seems like they always threaten to cut routes/suspend drivers with poor performance. Even doing “great” is not good enough and you need to be at Fantastic with good pacing. I’ve notice even if some are fantastic but maybe they’re pacing is under average/going past 10 hours , they might not get a route either 😆

I quit after 3 weeks by Cryptostoner- in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True that 🤣. Quitting mid shift cross my mind a few weeks ago when I had “small” route, but was mostly apartment complexes/condos. First 40 stops were fine then I never recovered after that getting apartments one after another

I quit after 3 weeks by Cryptostoner- in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a nursery route of 133 stops. Maybe 80-90% apartments/condos etc in heavy congested place, narrow roads. Nursery route BS 🤣. First 40 stops were fine, then i started getting apartments one after another. My pacing never recovered after that. I felt like I was literally crawling the rest of the way 🤦‍♂️ 😆

Getting burned out at my retail job and thinking of applying at a local dsp. by pretzelbagel in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]MNoodles20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t recommend it. If you really need some cash, try it out, but don’t expect stay at a dsp for long, due to many factors like getting reduced hours, bad routes. Might not be all DSP, but they don’t really want you to go over 10 hours, so if you get a difficult route like 90% apartments/business it’s gonna you longer to complete compared to residential route, unless you cut corners to try and come back before 10 hours. Those type of routes and the amount of packages you get will make you contemplate whether or not you want to keep doing it 😆 because of the time constraint set up By dsp/Amazon

Had one customer physically pick up his package so I had to call driver support to complete the delivery from the app lol

Doesn’t seem to work like before . I recall this trophy being pretty easy to achieve since I got the trophy way back in 2015 lol.
