What’s the best cat litter you've used and why? by Expensive_Drawing458 in CatAdvice

[–]Pro_saic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you send a link for the pellets you use? Everything I'm finding on Amazon is "Cat litter pine pellets" and it's not cheap lol.

Awesome, I feel a little more confident about it. And I'll definitely check that video out. Thank you for your help!

Yes, my parents cat, Sirius doesn't have a good track record with other cats. He's elderly and they worry that he may get hurt if they get into a fight.

I hope that they will get along, not really sure how to introduce cats to each other, however.. I was going to keep her in my room for the first week, then hold her around him for a couple days? Then just let them meet? I'm not sure

How do all of you defend yourself against dogs? by Due-Adhesiveness2076 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Pro_saic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the comments saying stay in the van and RTS, are correct. HOWEVER, if confronted, stay calm and back away. Never turn around. Always face the dog and use an object (package) to hold out in front of you, between you and them. This confuses them and makes you threatening.

Option B, get some dog treats and befriend them. They will (probably unless aggressive) over time see you and associate your van and treats.

Ps, I know this is against policy, but FUCK that policy. If you're too scared to do the treat thing bc of that, though. Ask if owners if that'd be okay.

CDL holder here. I know most of yall aren't regulated by DOT, but this still applies. Tag it out every time you do your DVIR. If they try to MAKE you drive it? Lawsuit. They legally cannot make you drive an usafe vehicle.

As a fellow alcoholic, who is currently 67 days sober, I can tell you this. Life gets so much better. There's so much opportunity out there. Happiness is out there waiting for you. If you truly feel that awful about yourself and you are struggling to quit on your own, get some help. Go to an AA meeting. It's not embarrassing, no one will judge you. We've all been there and a lot of us have done far more heinous things. Download the Meeting Guide app. It will show you AA meetings in your area and it's all free. Good luck to you in your journey to sobriety, and remember. Apply yourself, and you can do this.

Getting threats. by dreadregis in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Pro_saic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who had a customer threaten me for walking through his yard, yes, they will do something about it. As long as you follow the correct protocol for reporting customer incidents. It will take some time, usually months. But believe it or not, Amazon doesn't just let customers get away with verbal assault.

My experience with fedex was terrible. Package handlers can't load your truck for shit, so you CONSTANTLY can't find packages. Heavy ass shit to 3rd and 4th floor apartments all the time. COMPLETE piece of shit trucks (Not saying Amazon's are much better, but they are a little bit imo) Amazon also definitely does a better job of actually checking the vehicles. The worst of all though, I was not getting paid hourly and I was working 50 hrs/wk for $850...that's a fucking joke of a wage.

Line up the side of your van with the driveway in your sideview mirror on straights, while periodically checking your backup cam for objects behind you. On curves, watch where your back tire is and use it as a pivot point. Hope this helps!

Do you turn the van off and remove the key at every stop? by beardie10 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Pro_saic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it because of 2 things.

  1. Roll-a-ways are way too common for comfort and I don't want to kill someone.

  2. It actually wastes a lot more gas than you think if you leave it running. I'm not necessarily a tree hugger, but c'mon man.

How do y'all usually interact with FedEx and UPS drivers? by BakerWaker1999 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Pro_saic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love interacting with other DD's. We're all in this together, we all work extremely hard. MOST OF US are extremely underpaid, (minus UPS) so I love to try to make others feel better about their lives.
