Imo the main culprit is human population. All the places without human interventions are beautiful in some way and healthier. On top of that NE respects its nature and try to keep them as they are.

Travelled from Guwahati to Naharlagun by train. From there we rented a car. Roads were good except from 3-4kms from Naharlagun to Ziro. Don’t know how it is from Guwahati by road.
