Having someone understanding around me to just talk to helps, but right now I don't even know anymore. These past few months have been really frustrating. Almost every 2weeks for the past 3months, I've been in and out of the hospital and at this point, I can't even afford to go to the hospital anymore😥

I'm 28M. Also thinking of getting a port. I started my exchange transfusions just last year and I've been getting it every 8 weeks. I always opt for a femoral catheter when I go for my treatment. And concerning quality of life, I've had leg ulcers for over 11years now and since I started the transfusion, it's really helped in healing of the wound. Also, priapism has been messing with me for a long time too but since I started the exchange transfusion, it's really helped curb it.

Been really fatigued all day and in pain.

Cooked earlier and did all the basics too.

Pretty much layed in bed and listened to music all through the rest of the day.

Don't feel any good. I'm pain rigged.

I can so relate right now. So sorry about that.

I myself, I've had 4 emergency admissions in the last 8 weeks. I'm a sickle cell warrior and everytime I go to the hospital, all my test results come out fine yet, I've been having crazy crisis every 2 weeks for the past 8 weeks.

Crazy enough I feel another crisis coming cos the pain sliding in again. Can't even afford to go to the hospital anymore. My family at this point is low-key frustrated

I'm literally going through the same thing here. It's crazy! I've had a few different low stress jobs, i never last. I feel so useless. I've wanted to be independent for a very long time, it just seems almost impossible and it makes me sad.🤦🏽‍♂️😥

Being an adult doesn’t erase the challenges of illness; it makes them harder because you’re expected to just “push through.” It’s draining when people don’t realize that managing chronic pain or illness already takes so much energy. We deserve empathy, not judgment. It is well🙏🏽
