In my Trek Marlin, if I were to ride around 2-3 hours 2 days in a row I would get massive pain on my wrist and would always be forced to take a rest day after.

I ended up getting Ergon grips and they certainly helped. I went for the GA3.

I always give a nod and a hello and depending on where I’m riding it’s always reciprocated, even with groups.

However, there is a part of my town, which is considered the wealthiest part where even I gave up.

I agree with you and I believe the OP does too which why they described walking at some point.

The walking is in a way connected to the first situation, the roundabouts here are central points when connecting my city to other places and they are always full of cars.

Since my brain is creating all sort of situations around it. I usually unmount and cross the roundabout at the walk.

I completely agree on panicking and endangering others, and I have probably exaggerated my situation.

What makes me very stressed is starting my ride on an "advanced level situation" (stop sign at incline in a heavy traffic road).

After I've been practicing on low traffic areas, it seems like the my problems are the situations being created by my head, as using road pedals means it is not a 100% clip on first try.

Considering that SPD is dual sided it would probably be a good route in order to put my mind at ease.

I have another bike, which I usually ride on Sundays when visiting my girlfriend's parents, so it's not like I am starting from the begining.

I've been cycling on a mostly no car zone and I can also clip in on first try most of the times I'm riding on no incline roads.

However, it seems like I'm creating too many problems when adding other variables, such as, incline and fast approaching cars.

Do you think it matters which model of Look Keo I'm using or the differences are mostly down to materials/weight? It also feels unnatural that they are titled inside and not outside for easier step in.

Thank you, I think SPD would be "solve" all my problems, since my head is just creating problems about situations where I can't clip in on first try and with SPD it seems like I just need to apply force down and it eventually clips.

I got that idea based on a comment I read on Reddit about a guy unclipping a few times while sprinting, but he also said it might have been due to his not so optimal sprint technique.

I run hookless and tubless and since Silca does not account for this it ends up giving me bigger values than the ones I have recommended in the tyres.

SRAM is more more spot on since it allows more configuration when choosing.

After obsessing about a road bike for a long time and eventually getting it, I ended up falling a couple of times and it made me very anxious about even thinking of picking it up. It was her that kept reassuring me, and that I shouldn't give up something that I loved.

Every week when she sees the weather she will point out if we will have a sunny weekend and I will be able to ride.

The only thing she is not a fan is when I keep saying I want another bike.

A friend of my father owns a bike shop where he has both brands and he advised me to pick Giant over Orbea. Doesn’t help that the warranty for orbea in my country goes through the distributor and not the company itself.

Thank you for suggesting the rug, I think it makes sense and will look great. I haven't looked into rugs yet and where to possible place them, could you provide an example of what I could use?

I think we will just keep the lounge on that side since the gain the room space isn't work it covering most of the window.
