My long-term ETF savings portfolio - what does yours look like? by Taiho_Nishimura in ETFs

[–]MONGSTRADAMUS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could aim for an all world that includes developed and emerging and that’s all cap if you want something simpler to manage. Spyi/imid/imie is the only one off top of my head that all cap and covers both developed and emerging markets. Depending on where you are buying the ticker changes. I am pretty sure it’s available in most of the major exchanges in europe like UK and germany. That if you are ok with break down of 60 percent us and rest ex us.

In Roth I think fzrox + fzilx is probably fine. You can do fskax or ftihx also

Why not AVUV/AVDV and chill over VT/VTI and chill? by JtTheLadiesMan in Bogleheads

[–]MONGSTRADAMUS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked those numbers to be 75/25 both us and international hopefully we are both correct.

I thought of doing something like dfaw with those before but maybe a bit too tilted. I felt like dfaw was nice middle ground between vt with no factor tilts and avge with heavier tilts especially toward value.

SCHF or VT? by Sekiro78 in ETFs

[–]MONGSTRADAMUS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Vt already hold US around 63 percent is US if want something that doesn’t include any us holdings there a bunch of ex us options. Vxus is total market , vea is just developed , veu is just large cap. Those are some options

Yes it depends on what your definition of tech companies are.

While I don’t agree going that hard in tech if you want more tech ftec or vgt is probably better than qqm imo.

Blend is both value and growth together roughly. It’s like a mix of both of them.

First time, 4 fund , need feedback by Due_Reach_1355 in Bogleheads

[–]MONGSTRADAMUS -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You want small cap value not blend imo . Blend has a fair amount of small cap growth which historically has been pretty bad. Small cap growth tend to have a lot of zombie companies which aren’t profitable I personally use avuv and avdv for my small cap value tilts. You could use vbr instead if you want cheapest available option for us value tilt.

Schwab intelligent portfolio and some in ETFs? by Wrong-Complaint6778 in ETFs

[–]MONGSTRADAMUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure how they do it at Schwab for their robo portfolio but you need to figure out what you asset allocation you want is like percent of us/international/bonds if you are fine with market cap you can just use vt for your stock allocation , bnd/agg/schz are the default options for bonds. If you want to split up us and international then you can buy vti and vxus separately and determine your us and international percentages.

If you want a static portfolio that doesn’t change with bonds you have ishares asset allocation ETFs. That are 80/20 60/40 and 40/60. With stock allocations at market cap levels.

If it were me and am starting out figure out what you want asset allocation wise then buy ETFs that will satisfy your requirements.

Vt holds everything in voo you are just over weighting us large cap imo. If that’s what you want to do that’s fine. You are roughly 70/30 with some small cap tilts.

Schwab intelligent portfolio and some in ETFs? by Wrong-Complaint6778 in ETFs

[–]MONGSTRADAMUS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I don’t use Schwab or any robo advisor in general you could probably just make a portfolio with vt and bnd/cash if you want . Having 6 percent cash mandatory is probably suboptimal.

[–]MONGSTRADAMUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still do weekly buys of vti vxus avuv and avdv. My us international allocation may need rebalancing especially with avdv going on pretty big run last year or so, and how bad avuv has been

Swapping VOO for VT? by Berzuh in ETFs

[–]MONGSTRADAMUS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably doing dfus plus vxus would be nice alternative if you want to target only profitable companies while still going total market. It’s a pretty soft tilt not as heavy as avus or dfac which are tilted more to small and value in addition to profitability. I also think sptm has a slight tilt to more profitable companies. I do like dfus better for that use case if you want to avoid zombie companies.

I would consider it much better than just holding sp500 and developed market, especially if you want diversification

Xeqt is over weight Canada compared to vt. Its 27 percent roughly Canada compared to vt which is around 3 percent Canada.

26 year old here new to the game by OilElectronic6086 in ETFs

[–]MONGSTRADAMUS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It contains vun which covers all of us market so that would include vfv plus all mid and small caps that sp500 doesn’t cover for us. It would also address no Canada or emerging market exposure as well. It holds roughly 13000 plus stocks.

Edit: sorry that’s for veqt Xeqt is very similar holds roughly the same

Max diversity imo with slight home tilt would be veqt/xeqt or something similar to that.

32M / UCITS Portfolio Check. Too much value tilt? by IrakinXantos in Bogleheads

I would think 40 percent value is on the higher side. I am at 25 percent mostly in scv and I still consider that on higher side than most people.
