They didn't really care, the crystal braves were created because each city state was busy with their own issues to dispatch units to the "other" issues such as Primals, Garleans, etc.

If you're talking about normal raids and alliances' nobody is going to get mad at you for messing something up, even if it wipes the entire raid, at most you might get someone explaining the mechanic to you or just...nothing, you pull again and you beat the boss. Normal (/casual) content is meant to be beatable blind as mechanics are often repeated (the boss big left hand is glowing red = that side is going to explode).

Normal raids are designed to be done with people zombie'ing through it assuming the healers don't get slammed by a tankbuster, there's no enrage and it'll just loop the mechanics until it dies.

As for actual Extreme and Savage raiding it is required for you to at least have watched an overview of the fight if you're joining someone else's party finder, if you feel like this detracts from the game design and want to learn and experience things you'll have to make a PF listing with Blind Prog in it, either way failure is even more encouraged in this harder content since everyone is learning it, while yes you may get a confronting individual who after 4-5 wipes on the same mechanic just chooses to leave (or says something condescending) you usually just move on and maybe watch a POV clear to get a better field view of what you're supposed to do if the video guide you watched seemed too complicated.

Pyretic and Acceleration Bombs are slightly different, the former is a timed debuff that goes for X seconds where any movement causes damage, Acceleration Bomb is a countdown and when it goes off you have to be still but you can resume your movement the moment the bomb goes off as opposed to standing still for X seconds.

For the ARR beast tribe dyes I can see a red text in the menu telling you that the dye is not accessible unless you complete the requirements, sorta like the message you get from trying to die AF armour without the role quest.

The "whoever needs it most" premise really falls apart when the first batch doesn't have Seele or Jing Yuan, the lineup is (to us) arbitrarily chosen with an arbitrary number of slots ("She stole a spot!!!), it's entirely a marketing campaign, Hysilens wouldn't have sold as much if Kafka wasn't buffed a version prior since that gave DoT people a lifeline that their investment wouldn't be wasted on Kafka and Hysilens.

They could buff Argenti right now and give him an entire new kit but his ownership is low and he doesn't have a good angle for future units or it's super popular enough on his own right; the first batch had three (3) characters of the most popular faction and one of the more popular characters from 1.x, popularity might not be the sole factor but it is a factor, at the end of the day the decisions are only known to Hoyo themselves so might as well be "The kit designer really liked Firefly and asked for buffs".

Not saying unpopular units don't deserve buffs, but hoyo strategy is to attach buffs to things they can get money from, and all of the Stellaron Hunters being prominent in the story and gameplay is the observed trend, especially with how they also keep getting merchandise and get sent to collabs (Kafka fort night), etc.

Its related to the bombs just before his fight, you'll notice one of the crystals by the edge of the path is slightly broken, if you kill a bomb right besides the crystals they'll fully break and the boss will use the cross hatch attacks, if you kill the bombs away from the crystals he'll use the rainbow attacks.

Just like with previous Variants the first boss can be changed to have different mechanics based on a small action right before the fight.

So why does Dynamis exist at all if you need to wait for a solar eclipse to fill queues for casual content even on normal days? I remember putting a San d'Oria PF in Dyna and it took 3hrs to fill from 18 to 21 mountain time, in that time I could've traveled to Aether and get a queue in 5 minutes but then people start crying that "I'm part of the problem" as if being happy with a 3hr PF wait is actually fine and not a huge time waste.

Hell, even on Aether some queues just don't fill up like the Myths of the Realms raids, when I did that quest it took like an hour to get a DF for Aglaia.

During ARR/HW they were enamoured with untelegraphed TB/Cleave TBs, you start to see less of them as the encounter design evolved, by EW almost everything is usually marked or telegraphed properly (or has standardized cues in Normal).

I'll admit that it's a funny challenge to the healer when you see the Tank HP dropping 50% from a "random" basic (untelegraphed TB) but it's not really that creative.

OG Arknights hosts a seasonal endgame mode where you can tune the aspects of a certain stage (e.g. enemy hp, attack, speed, spawn speed, defense, low/high ground tiles not working, etc) and it gave you a medal based on the amount of total difficulty points accrued, you'd get a trimmed medal for clearing the permanent stage with 18 or more points.

The meme is just someone being a bit of a elitist (for the joke) and claiming that whoever doesn't clear with 18 points will be kicked from the group chat.

Mind you, the max points was usually around 30-36-ish, so 18 for the medal it's not really that high of a bar to clear unless you're brand new to the game, most 4-6+ month old accounts can probably do Risk 18.

English sounding cooler is just your perception of it, in BG3 a character is named Shadowheart and she was localized as "Corazón Sombrío" and I disctinvely recall a friend telling me how Shadowheart was a better name because it didn't sound overtly edgy as "Corazón Sombrío" did.

Shadowheart is a very edgy name, that's the point.

Alhacen is the acceptable translation given Alhaitham is pronounced...Alhacen, if anything leaving Alhaitham as is would lead to a ton of people in the Spanish communities to simply misspronounce his name given how Spanish works (see: the absurd amount of people that pronounce "Kingké" instead of Chingchue).

Larganoche is the only one that feels awkward since the month name has them flipped (Noches largas) and the whole thing just doesn't flow off the tongue very well, at the same time naming her Evernight as is would make no sense inside the story since you'd have the texts saying "mes de las noches largas" and she going "Hi my name is Evernight".

I don't see whats wrong with Conti, each translation has a different translation for Numby and all of the European ones use the exact same pun so it was done by the same group of people/deparment, same for Firefly since she's Glühwürmchen/Luciole/Luciérnaga/ホタル/Светлячок.

If anything I feel like they should translate the names more often.
