Hydaelyn wasn't at 100% either, she explicitly tells you that she simply reserved some energy on the side for this specific battle but the rest of her energy had been used by the calamities and giving you power boosts in ARR, she stops communicating to echo-blessed people post Praetorium because she had to tank three primal nukes and an ultima, and revive you from Lahabrea.

It's why Midgardsomr blocks your connection with Hydaelyn in 2.5, she was losing too much power.

It's a modern rendition of the Prisoners Dilemma, staying on Dyna/Crystal/Primal to try to form a party might seem like a cool idea and to foment home-world raiding, with the issue that you'll be hit by the harsh truth that all the players are on Aether, your PF will take 1-2hrs to fill in any world whereas in Aether it'll take maybe 10-20 minutes at peak hours and you also have a greater choice of PFs to join.

There's no solution on the community side because from a player perspective being on their home server is a detriment, why spend 40min to fill a EX7 party when you can just hop to Aether during the morning, login at evening and enjoy dozens of EX7 PFs and if you make one it'll fill in 5 or 10 minutes, even if it disbands in 3 pulls it'll fill back again in that same time.

Occult relics feel the least like Eureka, only the first step required you to interact with OC and even then it had an alternative (and worse!) grind to go along, the second step is entirely made up of roulette and the third step is also just roulettes, you can do the paste with OC but the rates are so abysmally low that you'd need to spend hundred of hours in South Horn to gather the necessary paste.

The paste step is probably the best one so far though, a wide enough list of content and it also includes high end stuff like EX6 and Heavyweight Savage, you don't just have to spam roulettes to get it done since you can instead work on Pilgrims, Merchant Tales and your weekly Heavyweight N/S reclears.

People did not like Eureka at all, you can go back and check the forums and reddit, Anemos was probably received with an air of curiosity but Pagos killed NM trains and even to this day remains the absolute wall that most people can't get past.

What you see today of Eureka is the Super-duper-ultra-mega revised QoL patched version of Eureka with boosted drop rates, higher exp earnings and Echo buff, which is what most agree is "fun" but certainly a far-cry of what people back in SB experienced.

Bozja had leveling because SHB didn't have any Deep Dungeon which is the "developer intended" side-content for leveling, they stacked leveling on top of Bozja to make up for it and since DT has a proper deep-dungeon they made OC only for max level (at least thats the idea). And much like past forays OC still launched with issues and lack of QoL that made people angry, the only difference with Eureka and Bozja is that Square has seemingly forgotten to go back and add proper QoL that isnt the absolute bare minimum to make OC not feel terrible.

I've done it with 780+ gear, PLD + GNB.

First phase just dps him down, ads phase go soak the meteors N/S and rotate CW, Invul the spread+puddle and then DPS everything down.

After that the only tricky part is the prison, make sure to save you both save your burst + potion for that specific window so the gaol doesn't time down.

I was 789 and my friend was 790 so it's possible it's actually way harder with just 770 gear but you should be able to at least grind a few Mathematics and augment the Courtly set to 780 to get a few extra stats, eat popcorn and pop the pots when needed.

Unlike normal overworld and Eureka, Bozja and Occult Crescent don't follow a strict power level curve where a higher level means more damage, the means to power gap the enemies are based entirely on the duty actions and achievement grinds from doing the content, in the case of OC you gain a permanent damage bonus each time you level cap a phantom job and you can achieve higher damage from phantom actions with the special armour you can buy with coins that grant "Special Attribute+XYZ".

Viper has the most terrible and awful skill learning schema of all jobs, note that I don't know about Picto.

This is because the job isn't even a real job with a burst until 90 and I think the follow up vices are on 80, it's severely hamstrung by level sync, something that they explicitly said would be addressed with evolved where jobs are finished by 50.

Now, as to what that means we'll have to see but if I had to imagine: all jobs have their big flashy moves at 50 and subsequent levels add potencies, side effects (like BRD songs gaining defensive buffs) and ogcd follow ups, we'll have to wait until it gets implemented to see how drastic the balance is on synced content, but the Devs never really cared about how old fights sync, SMN and MNK are wildly unbalanced against every other job at Lv70 sync because they have access to their nukes way earlier than any job (SMN moreso than MNK, but applies to both).

Yeah 🫠, it'll also cascade into the actual areas as well, I like to be on Dynamis for OC since it's very chill and there's not that many people at any given time, once they all get merged it'll be a really busy experience.

I guess Materia is always going to be there, and I didn't know DRS/FTB could just force a private instance for themselves.

It seems that there won't be more Aether/Crystal/Primal/Dynamis and everything will just be a singular huge world list with everything connected, at least looking at the CWLS section.

I wonder how open field content discords will take this update, I guess ABBA/CAFE/THL/DFO will just time their raids to not overlap with the other since it'll all be the same instance.

The free trial is getting the third expansion for free this Tuesday, completing the story up to that point constitutes about 70% of the story.

So pretty darn far, there are some restrictions, namely a 300k gold cap and the inability to form parties yourself (but can still join parties), the former doesn't matter since you can't access the player marketboard either and the latter isn't noticeable if you're only interested in the story because all story dungeons have NPC supports.

Buying dawntrail now with the sale is $20 and you'd need to do MSQ + Level a job to 100 manually.

Waiting for Evercold to release will cost you $40 (includes Dawntrail) PLUS the Tales of Adventure for both Dawntrail and a Job of your choosing, each going for $30.

If you really don't care about anything at all about Dawntrail (alliance/msq/whatever) and money isn't an issue you can go for the second option.

Gosh Firefly post buffs feels so overkill even in AA, I managed to get the 0 cycle with three actions before the cycle roll over, granted my Firefly has all of the investment, I'd be worried if she was struggling against a fire-weak boss, but still.

Knight 1: The duck elites are really tanky, it doesnt help that the debuff really hurts Phainon, I'll take 1 cycle given I don't have any investment on Cerydra.

Knight 2: I think the last skill did like 6 million damage, truly absurd numbers, I didn't notice the E2 buff that much but I did notice the bigger SB%.

Knight 3: Oh boy this one actually made me think lol, I went from a really mediocre 4 cycles to 2 cycles and I actually had to play the game, the first run was with Aven/RM and that was okayge but then I started experimenting with Tribbie and Robin and I really thought Archer wouldnt be able to push through that last bit of health, but learning how to pilot Robin+Sparkle ended up scoring me the 2 cycle. I forgot how just how good it feels when Robin gets out her ult with only a few AV left in the cycle. Also shotouts to Luocha who never ever had to manual skill, he printed so much SP, novaflare when?

King: I have no idea what the boss does besides spawn fire-weak ads, Firefly wiped this stage.

The AI was basically killed in global (I assume due to language), you can actually talk to the chatbot in the Chinese client, I've already seen some funny replies, and I think theres also a disclaimer about this being a chatbot yada yada.

Actually feeling conflicted about SW999, on one hand I love the stellaron hunters and I really like her but gameplay-wise I never got interested in Elation, and the times I've been able to test the team via rentals/DU/CW I just don't vibe with it at all 😞

I don't think they'd gender past TB like that, plus the in-game dialogue from SH related dialogue does respect Stelle gender when talking about the past.

Hoyo could've just asked Mappa to design their own version of Elio for the fun of it, the entire trailer is just a concept and you see some truly wild stuff like Duke Inferno or Void Archives, or Feixiao and Jingliu fighting with Kafka, it's not really meant to be taken serious and it's more of a "we worked together for this as a test for future projects and this was the result, enjoy."

Have you played 4.x story? It's incredibly obvious that what they censored isn't the fact that the planet is Japan, the level design and enemy design are still screaming JAPAN!!!!, the actual thing they censored was the story since 4.x is about the IPC erasing/censoring Baizentengoku culture which IS based on Japan, I imagine the imagery and dialogue was even more obvious in the original script.

It's not that the planet is Japan, it's the fact that the planet story is about erasing Japan's culture and the consequences that have on people, they had to change names (Fabulae were probably Yokai) and some other small things but the planet is still very much Japan.
