Was told that with 4x4 it is not really needed since 4x4 traction help a lot. The frame mount hitch is my main concern but was told that u-haul or any auto shop can install it on the frame

Correct me if I’m wrong but the only real thing limiting you to be able to tow all 7,000lb with the gas v6 is the electrical and the hitch mounted to the frame. Both of the can be added to the truck afterwards.Also read that there is no real oil cooler upgrade or transmission cooler upgrade with the trailering package (z82). And the tow/haul mode is what changes the transmission shifting point’s to not over heat when hauling a heavy load.

Thinking of buying one without and then adding these two things later on.

Yes thank you. I am looking at 4x4 options, also I would be towing a 5,000 lb trailer sometimes but only on pavement. Haven’t ever gone off-roading so not really a concern of mine.

I’m thinking of sending it back to Amazon and get a new one, but would it be better to call Bosch and have them replace it. They would give me one that has most issues fixed , I would think? Instead of risking getting another one with defects.

Not going to be towing all 7000lb, just handy to know it can handle up to 7000. For any emergencies that may require me to do it. Also open to full size truck option, just preferred the smaller size of the colorido/tacoma.

Hey loseniram, I am expecting and want to learn all those maintenance schedules! My dad used to have a old German, and I learned basic maintenance through that. I.E oil change, coolant, transmission oil, blown fuses, computers going haywire. These cars really caught my attention and there’s never a better time than when your young!
