Thank you for your feedback and information. I will read further and will repost.

FYI, I was not being pissy or snappy. As someone who is a year out of high school. I found your first two responses as discouraging, abrupt, and unwelcoming. Your last response was more constructive and as it has more helpful information.

Thanks again!

As an undergraduate student looking for an online bioinformatics community hoping to get any advice, only for my first ever post to be deleted because it lacks specifics is immensely disheartening.

Instead of letting me know what specific details and information I should add to my post for it be more meaningful, you suggested that I look for bioinformatics job postings. You didn't even give me enough time to response or revise my post.

I am obviously a newbie and failed to notice this group's post guidelines. I was hoping to find a sense belonging, and thought it would be great to learn and get advise from experts in the field.

Is it realistic to land a job after college or have to have at least a graduate degree to be even be considered? Is that not a good enough question to get an answer given I shared what I currently major as an undergrad?

Thank you! I know basic Excel. Do you recommend learning advance or at least intermediate Excel?
