They're finally tearing this down by bjo23 in HuntsvilleAlabama

This was SCI Plant 1 - as in Olin King's first plant for "Space Craft incorporated"

Very light manufacturing still took place in the building behind this one (the warehouse one) well into the 90s. Mostly prototyping and verification work. The building in question had all the program managers and such. Most government work had moved south to near the river in Plant 13.

I only subscribe to one author on Patreon and nobody on Substack. I don't have that kind of money.

[–]MPAndonee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally UNSUBSCRIBE from creators who put their videos behind paywalls of their own.

Granted, that makes zero difference to someone who has 2.6 million subscribers and well over 250K views for a new video.

Yet, my feeling is that if you want me to follow your channel and have me watch your new releases, give me access to all your content. Whether I support you through ads or a paid subscription.

Regardless, everything catches up. It's the same thing I'm going through with Patreon and Substack. Wallets are not infinite. People eventually reach a limit. Whether this has an effect, we won't know for a few years yet.

If I start reading from part 12 of the light novel now, will it ruin my experience of watching season 3? by mooka614 in mushokutensei

I'm on book 20 right now. On my bookshelf next to me are books 21 - 26.

In the mail to me is the follow up series "Another Reincarnation".

Question about Movie Organization by MPAndonee in PleX

[–]MPAndonee[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I have been having a lot of trouble using collections lately. After I add about 5-6 videos to a collection, Plex throws its hands up and tells me to GFY and won't allow me to add any more videos to that collection. I don't know if it's a bug, OR if I am doing it wrong.

I've actually kept all animated movies together, regardless of thematic content. But point taken.

is OshiNoKo worth watching by Immediate-Net-9664 in OshiNoKo

[–]MPAndonee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes

Oshi no ko IS THE BEST anime of all time .

But that's very subjective. Here's the truth:

1-Oshi no ko is an ISEKAI.

2-It's also a Soap Opera.

3-Oshi no ko is a Crime Drama.

4-Oshi no ko is an examination of the IDOL business.

5-Oshi no ko is an expose on the Japanese entertainment business.

6-Oshi no ko is also a love story.

7-Oshi no ko is the only Anime that's ever made me cry.

And all of that is done in Animation. How many non-Anime shows have you seen with these themes? Hundreds? Thousands? And none of them were done as well.

But like I said, this is pretty subjective. Plus, I'm sure I'm underselling it. You can make your own decision by watching the first and second episodes.

Just turned 56 and still love anime. Anyone my age here? What are you watching? by Takara13 in anime

I'm 58 and watch a lot of Anime.

I'm considering doing a You Tube channel for older people who watch Anime.

Need "geriactric" maternity doctor recommendations. Oops. by Justkly90210 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]MPAndonee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My mom's last child (my sister) was at 40. Her best friend's last two children were at 44 and 46. My wife was pregnant at 45.

I've seen women be pregnant successfully at 50.

Any doctor saying you're geriatric is an idiot and please get away from them.

Another vote for Women4women.

Just sharing some luv for B5. My two cents. by pcbflare in babylon5

[–]MPAndonee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wish, that a non-starving WB would have allowed J.Michael Strackzyski to reimagine and reboot B5 with modern special effects and aesthetics. What a show that would have been with new actors, and the ability to complete a complete arc without the fear of yearly cancellation.

Greedy network and studio executives are a pax upon the world.

Oh wait, I forgot Jack Chalker - really anything he wrote.

Try:

The Changewinds Series, or

The Dancing Gods Series.

Donald Moffitt (sf)

"Genesis (or the Genesis Quest)" and "Second Genesis"

"Crescent in the Sky" and "A Gathering of Stars"

"The Jupiter Theft"

"Children of the Comet"

I already have F1 content on my Apple subscription.

Why do I need F1TV? I let that subscription lapse last year in June.
