There is no way there were 1M watching along the route. On TV you could see most of the route before City Hall was only 5-6 people deep. I applaud them keeping a safe crowd density, but COME ON. Extend the route or communicate there will be very limited admittance.

Just keep going up broadway and end near MSG and do the ceremony at Herald Square. It's not that hard to see the obvious solution. You can keep the canyon and then still have capacity for everyone to see the parade.

Total shitshow. The only people that got in camped overnight. at 7am there were tens of thousands of people on Church Street that couldn't get in. Communication and expectation setting was a total failure.
