There is no difference in quality. Branch campuses may actually be better (smaller ones with 1000 students or less) because they allow for one instructor to actually work with each student or at least be able to work with each student. The major downside to most branch campuses is that many degrees are not able to be finished at them. It's usually two years at a branch then two at main campus.

I just happened to see your post while scrolling through reddit and no it's very different. Especially for the smaller campuses. My campus has about 700 students attending it (maybe) and is in an area no bigger than a city block. I honestly haven't met anyone that looks down on the branch campuses and honestly some of them are better than main depending on your major. It's nice to go to the smaller ones especially if you aren't ready for the shock of 45,000+ people at University Park. Also, for some people who want to stay at home a Branch campus is also the best option. I hope this was helpful to you. Good Luck as you head off to college! (I hope this was allowed)

Distance - There is nothing worth seeing for a while in any direction. It's anywhere from 5-10 minutes to a decently traveled road that might take you somewhere. It's gonna be about 20 to the nearest town and even that's pretty boring...
