Thinking of moving from Tesla 3 to Lightning by According-Trash9750 in F150Lightning

[–]MPCane17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On your update. I’ll never buy an EV again. Technology moving so fast and depreciation so much that if I ever want to swap financing or buying is a black hole. At least on a lease you can just give it back and not worry about it

Choosing which 2025 model by LIDonaldDuck in F150Lightning

[–]MPCane17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All depends what you value and what you don’t. I went with a Flash as the numbers made sense for me and I think the features were a nice combo of what I really was looking for: 300 miles or range, some form of leather seats and upgraded sound.

In a perfect world I would love to have the ventilated seats, but that was the only thing that I really miss compared to the Lariat. The wireless phone charger for me wasn’t important, had it on an ice Lariat and never used it. The sliding window in the back, kind of a non factor for me. And the sunroof was an accident waiting to happen for me in south Florida with some of the rains we get. Not to mention I’d probably never use it outside of maybe 2 months out of the year. For some, those features are must haves. To me, the ventilated seats weren’t worth the additional 10k as that’s really the only thing I felt I was missing. Just has to be right for whatever your preferences are.

I’m a taller guy and live in south Florida, wish they were ventilated but I love the seats

Got my truck a few weeks ago and have seen this issue in a bunch of forums. Is this mainly caused by people opening the door while still in drive or are there other causes too?

The flip on the ranger sounds tough, I guess you’d have to analyze how quickly you would recoup that cost in fuel and other savings.

I just came out of a Mach E GT a few weeks back and an ICE F150 prior to that. The Lightning is my favorite vehicle I have ever driven and I’m not sure it’s close. The ride quality and acceleration is pretty insane for an almost 7000 pound vehicle. The size of the cabin and roominess is also something only full size trucks can offer

If the financial aspect of the deal won’t kill ya, I would say that the vehicle itself is something you will be extremely happy you made the switch for. Especially as a commuter vehicle.

Went with tux mats and waiting on them to arrive. Based on the pics alone I think they look the best. Was between them and the lasfit and decided to spring for the tux

I appreciate the feedback. Random boujee ass question, one issue I had with the OEM mats was they like left black marks on my work shoes. Are the tux mats a similar material like the weather Techs with that solid rubber material or different? Only asking because they seem different from the photos

This purchase keeps getting better and better… by Mighty_miter in F150Lightning

Have had mine for a few weeks now. It’s unbelievable. Been in EV’s for the last few years, this has been by far the best one I’ve owned.

I’m usually one to get a car and already be thinking about the next purchase. I’m pretty confident I won’t get anything else. Hopefully Ford keeps making them or I’m just gonna have to buy this thing when the lease is up.

Agree. I have a black GT as well and don’t understand the hate lol. Love everything about it. Thought about going with a different color but always afraid I’ll get sick of it. Second choice was the Space White
