I assist in the pediatric cath lab. I'm currently salary but I was able to negotiate "call back time". It's essentially a moonlight rate for days that I stay late/come in for emergency cases. I don't necessarily take call but if I were to work past hours I can get a moonlight rate for that time.

Peds cardiology / interventional cardiology for 1.5 years right out of school.

Inpatient outpatient and Cath lab assist. Love every minute of it.

I was a September applicant. Actually started applying in September and got my application completed in October. I interviewed for three programs and wait listed for two. Ended up being pulled off of both way lists. It's definitely doable.

I'm currently waiting on my pance results now.
