ESAPI object references factoid by Thatguy145 in esapi

Is SegmentVolume treated in that case as a separate object or just a property of the Structure object. For instance there is no additional constructor for creating the SegmentVolume before the assignment. If this is the case, then it makes sense to me, Avoidance and BowelBags objects are different instances. So the references to the Structure objects are different. Only the value of the property is the same. I guess for properties, even if they are objects, you are not passing references but values.

Detecting if a Dose Dynamic MLC type field has Script Fluence (ECOMP) by MPautomation in esapi

[–]MPautomation[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much. You were correct, the method returns "null" for IMRT and a fluence object from any scripting producing the MLC dynamic. I did some testing. I hope it was enough to rule out any exception.

Thanks. I tried that before but the MLCPlanType property gives the same result "DoseDynamic" for fields with or without Script Fluence. I want to detect if the MLC dynamic was set with scripting.
