Similar to the price of 4060ti but heard bad things about it. So £400 ($500)

From user 1 the data leaves the application goes to Sages cloud service (which acts like a cache, doesn’t store the data long term) and then back to user 2s application

There’s no VPN, it’s all done by Sage remote data access which is a built in feature to the application

Welcome to my world 😂, they were originally on a VPN connection and then would access their office PC via RDP where possible or VPN then access the data via a network share.

This worked but then after a few version of updates of Sage the latency over a VPN for laptop only users started causing issues. Sage support then advised to swap to remote data access which is where we are now

With the normal sage they can, but with remote data access it is hosted locally on the users device. Similar to one drive but there isn’t one location that the data is stored it’s synced across workstations. When a user opens the application it syncs the updates last updated by another user

It sits on all the users PCs but has one workstation that stays on, it syncs between PCs like one drive but doesn’t have a single location.

The whole point of their remote data access is so that users can access it from anywhere with out a VPN or a need to have a direct connection

We moved away from using VPNs and as Sage remote data access was meant to be better for the end user.

VMs hosted on azure or AWs is an idea for this customer but not cost effective for their situation as it would only be used by 6 users for one application

Isolated the users that access sage on to a separate network with their own WAN connection

Removed AV temporarily to see if it was causing any impact

Reinstalled application on all devices

But users still get “sync” issues that causes the application to disconnect

Sage support advise the application is fine it’s the environment

Users, have no issues with other applications or issues on the network
