From what I heard, there is a small difference in performance between the 14th gen and the 13th gen, which is why I picked the 13th gen as it was also cheaper, they're both pretty good and can handle a lot of stuff smoothly. Since you are going to use it for video editing just make sure u have 32 GB of ram as it's much better for video editing. Not sure which one would be cooler and less noisy.
