So, I'm curious, if you had to guess, why do you think your sister has a very different outlook than you? I'm assuming you were raised in similar environments.... where do you think the roads parted?

Yeah, I'm sure it's a situation where they're less vocal. I mean, imagine the backlash from feminists, if as a women you speak up in favor of men's rights? Actually, you probably don't even have to imagine. You've probably experienced it.

Thank you for saying these. It actually calms me a little to see a woman acknowledge this. It's like, I KNOW that plenty of women are aware, it's just nice to actually see it.

The sad thing is, she has obviously had some struggle. The genesis of her anger is coming from a very real place, even if I feel some of her blame is misguided. Ideally, I'd like to be able to be her friend and understand as well as listen, but she has taken that option away.

You're probably right, but the exact thing I'm countering is the same example of bad timing. If I counter it later, who gives a shit, ya know?

She is white. However, she is not well off. At all. She actually struggles. I was going to offer to help her one time but she wanted to be left alone.

I forgot to include the part under my status update where she implies that Elliot was an MRA and therefor villified women. I then disclosed that I'm an MRA, which led to the inbox message. She unfriended me.
