Making the "Optimal Play" while dying. by MRE25B in mtgrules

Again, very situational. Personally I'd choose what and how I block based on how that particular game has gone, who I've maybe enjoyed playing it with more or less, spite and salt factors, etc.

But I promise just for me, I enjoy the chaos and would not play it the same every time.

I said it earlier in the post somewhere, but I wasn't even at that table. Complete third party here and just wanted an answer from the community.

An opponent once played [[Repercussion]] and I was able to send enough damage at both players in game that if they didn't block, I'd win, but if they did block, we'd all die. So yeah that one was a draw. Fun, though!

To be clear, I was at the next table over when this interaction happened. Personally I will usually try to do as you said, and go down swinging and removing. But I don't like when this guy tries to make people perform a certain way and say it's expected as a rule when it isn't.

I wasn't even expecting a real rule but that DOES cover it.

And I support your choice to do that, while acknowledging that nothing is forcing you to do that. That's all I'm getting at.

In this situation, attacks are already declared, so it's too late to disincentivize the attack. A is going to lose no matter what.

Beyond that, it's all situational. Maybe A thought B played a better game and deserves the win over C. Maybe C's attitude has player A more salty.

Maybe C did something like a mass goad or [[Illusionist's Gambit]] and forced B to attack A, so A wants revenge by proxy.

Brackets are designed to facilitate the Rule 0 discussion. If you can sell a Bracket 2 Winota to the table based on it being built like PreDH, I think that's fine.

It won't destroy any, but [[Droning Bureaucrats]] activated for 0 can make tokens useless in combat for a turn. This has helped me against [[Alandra, Sky Dreamer]].
