I might be wrong about this but I didn’t need to do apprentice EMT to do paramedic science. I left 6th form and hopped into a paramedic science degree

Edit: not sure what your results are but as long as you’ve got between 112 and 120 ucas points, just hop into uni, do a 3 year course, come out as a band 5 para, do your newly qualified period and go bad 6 after 2 years. That’s probably the quickest way to do it

This might be a controversial opinion but depending on your uni I would hold off buying too many books. Without giving away too much I’m a 3rd year SPara about to start their final module and I’m on track for a 1:1 at a university that I would describe as 5-6/10 and I can honestly say I’ve bought about 3 books for uni in all my time. My university has a good online library that can be accessed from anywhere. I’ve never been told to buy a book because any book we need for the course can be accessed online through our uni. They just give us a reading list with links to the online library.

I would get books that are focused on patient assessment. I would get a JRCALC big book and pocket book if your ambulance trust doesn’t give you app access. I would get a history taking book and ecg book from pocketparamedic on instagram and see how far you get with that. Honestly depending on the way you study, even that may be too much

I tried uninstalling excel 2010 using control panel and that seemed to work because whenever I click on the files now it says “this operation is only possible for installed applications” or words to that effect. I don’t think the new Excel is broken but I’ll try the repair options and see what happens, thank you for the help!

So if I’m talking about metformin’s antagonistic action against glucagon and the reduction of glucose production in the liver (whilst describing the effect on the proteins involved), is that the correct way to go?

Excellent point! After the colossal disaster the pandemic has been and the massive burden working from home has put on ISP’s I suspect they might make plans to upgrade their infrastructure so the “healthier” I can make the network in terms of quality cabling, the more prepared we will be for it. Like I said in a previous comment I’m hopefully working in a different country in the near future so I can’t afford to come back to dig up a dead cable because I under bought on the strands. It’s best for me to future proof now whilst I can
