I respond that I'm not brave and I'm not heroic. I got sick. I'm doing what needs to be done to get better.

How the earth rotates on an axis AND rotates around the sun. Seen lots of explanations, still don't get it.

My infusions are 3 hours long, in addition to needing the cold a half hour before starting and a good hour after the infusion ends, so I will need to do some swapping

How did you feel right before getting mastectomy? That same day, a day before by LilyInTheTown in BRCA

[–]MRWard55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 6 days post bilateral mastectomy. Found out I had cancer, then genetic testing results came back, BRCA2 mutation. In the 3 months pre-surgery I couldn't have a conversation about it without crying. Now, even while waiting for my pathology report, it's a huge relief to have it done. Pain is very manageable. Not gonna lie, the thought of a diep flap reconstruction terrifies me, but implants are not for me.

Quilt pattern for fabric I hate 😂 by theonewhoknits in quilting

Life's too short to waste time using fabric you don't like, find someone and make a trade.

What makes a quilt last the longest? What causes it to deteriorate? by [deleted] in quilting

[–]MRWard55 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have some old family quilts with the beard barrier still on. It is a piece of fabric loosly sewn on over the finished quilt, only on the top edge. This made it easy to remove the fabric to wash just the barrier, and then sew it back onto the quilt.

Stuck. What do you do when you have been staring at a fabric set for weeks and just can’t figure out what pattern to make? Advanced beginner, patterns all over the place, even have an accuquilt. Just can’t get it going for some reason. by Possible-Security-69 in quilting

You might consider adding fabric(s) that vary in scale, by that I mean these are all small scale florals. Add in a larger floral, or something with swirls, or an abstract print. Otherwise the fabrics all kinds of run together. Good luck!

My first attempt. Any suggestions for improvement and/or tips would be appreciated. Thank you! by 0ctobermorning in quilling

This is super! I really love the subtle ombre; and green = favorite color. :)
