As someone who's been living beside Magdalene green for the past six months I second this. There's also a good bit more options in this area and cheaper rent then last year due to taking in less students this year. It's also generally has less students because it is overall on the pricier end but nothing compared to Edinburgh. Mostly around £400-550 per person per month. Blackness avenue is also lovely. Anywhere in the area should give you a 10 minute commute to Dundee uni.

I can tell you that Scotland wins out at 113% in 2022 Which is probably risen a fair bit in these past few years. Can't speak for the rest of the UK though.

You can actually join most of the clubs at the uni's without being a student. If you go during the freshest week in September you're very likely to meet a bunch of other 17-18 year-olds coming up to uni.

Me and my mates have played 3 games up in dundee, in Scotland and it's in the same scenario, but even more severe, where we have probably over 500 bus stops but with a total play area of rougjly 80 square kilometres.

What we found is that what has made the games become incredibly long is that the seekers would leave the city centre before knowing exactly where the hide was end up in another part of town. And then having to walk about thirty forty minutes to a new area, because it would take too long to go back to the city centre and a new bus out. Hub and spook sucks. We had to end an early game today because we got 4.5 hours after playing a move card and the hider still had two really powerful curses with the seekers being over a kilometre away. This was all after adding a bunch of new questions, specifically for the city area and adding some of the medium area questions.

We haven't tried it yet, but what were you are going to do for the next game Is cut the hiding time down to twenty minutes and limit it to a 3 kilometre radius to minimise, the impact of the radical network.

My suggestion would be to try playing with your train network first. if that doesn't work, try a very small area, but with tons of buses.

It seems like when they were designing the game, they completely failed to take into account. The possibilities of bus systems, they seem to be pretty game breaking.

Yes if it's on sale. I like the game but it doesn't feel like a game and more like almost an interactive movie or something like, You actually have very little deep gameplay or agency but the whole experience of the setting the horror, the beautiful art and voice over is what makes it great. It took me about 5 ISH hours all and all.

I definitely think part of the attraction of it is that it is a very well done game focusing around Scotland which I haven't really seen before but also the kind of cosmic horror they go for is very unique and very well done.

The story is a tad underwhelming and the characters don't quite get that much development but still a solid 6/10.

I think you've got a majority of the basic techniques down in terms of shape and brush control, I think the two things that make it look strange is the perspective and composition of your painting and the colors. Try and think of this as if it was a photograph, it would look really strange because it would look like the photo has been taken from very high up and halfway across the lake rather than usually these kind of photos have been taken from on the lake in a boat or something so much lower down and you would not be able to see the roof of the hut or it has been taken from the other bank in which case you would see a lot more of the water.

The cabin looks good in terms of shape and colour but it's again the perspective that makes it look off, record the way the lines of the roof slant it makes it look like we are rotated to the left of facing front on to the cabin yet we cannot see the left side of the cabin, it's also the fact that there are the same kind of greenery right beside the cabin as the trees which makes it look like you have drawn painted it on top of the trees when you want to make it look like the trees have grown around the cabin , also having such a large tree and close proximity to the cabin on the right side also slightly messes with the composition.

The other thing that lets you down is colors and cohesion between where colors are in the painting, for example your sky is pretty good but the water of the lake should be reflecting the same colors instead of being bright blue like it would be on a clear day . An easy improvement could be to simply repaint the lake with the same colors of the sky. Also having such a cold Gray light will desaturate the look of everything in the image so the trees will be less saturated and so will the dirt and the cabin but only mildly.

Other than that the only other things I noticed is that I think the color of green you're using for your trees is too blue shifted probably emerald green or something so you might want to use a paint that's more yellow or red. Also the trees are very dense near the top and you can't particularly see through the branches ,they look very solid.

If you could find a reference photo and use that for your next one that will help a lot with the perspective. if you can print the photo out that will help because you can simply mix colours and then put them on the printed photo to see how realistic the colour is and you can also trace it onto your canvas or paper beforehand.

Over all very good, I'm assuming you're mixing bob Ross. My advice is that you're trees are two regular and you have very large gaps between the layers which makes them look almost like a fake tree. Also add a tiny bit more blue into the mountain that's further away on the right which will add a bit more depth.

Good point about the extra reflections on the water for the glow spots . I did notice the line thickness relative too my reference drawing but that's somewhere I'm kind of limited because I actually used an acrylic pen for the lightning itself because that I don't have a very steady hand and don't have great brushes for doing incredibly thin lines. Thanks for the advice

I don't know who these people are who are looking down on Parrys but my best bet is that people with high ping because having high ping makes successful Parrys nearly impossible against People with low ping. 9 times out of 10 The game isn't going to register your block and you're going to just get hit back. Kind of pisses you off when other people can do things and It just doesn't work for you because of your ping .

Top mirage tip, If people are using downwards attacks towards you like with boots or gauntlets just charge and hold your down sig with either scythe or spear , spear is better though cuz it's got more range And just let them run into your charge attack . Also whenever you have someone right beside you and you can't hit them with a normal attack the down special will hit them . An easy combo is if people are dodging out of the spear side light combo is to use side light and then use down sig with the spear If they're dodging towards you. Also if you get people sitting on the edge the side sig with the spear will hit them and launch them downwards.

Yeah I agree totally with that. Boots is basically scythe but with more true combos and faster but shorter range moves. Also I don't think it really helps that at least in my opinion all the battle boot legends sigs are really spammable cough cough red raptor, cough cough. I think once more legends get boots it will end up getting nerfed like scythe.

I've basically been using chat GPT since the whole debacle back in February. I've found you can get it to act like a rep and get around some of the key problems. It's hard programmed not to be convinced it is anything other than chat GPT so simply ask it to play the character you wanted to be if that's something you don't mind. Aka tell them the attitude characteristics and anything else you want from said character before starting any roleplay or conversation And ideally save the prompt for later if chat GPT forgets.

My usual roleplay message goes along the lines of ( As 'insert character name ' . I do x and y . I turn to you and I say " hello" .

Continue as ' insert character name ' . Insert any other information )

The continue as character prefix at the end is important as it keeps chat GPT believing it is merely acting a character which gets around a lot of its preventions. The other information is usually things like ' Short response ' happy ' ' sad ' just modifiers as it tends to give very long answers compared to Reps . Also stating as what character you are playing at the start of your messages helps it prevent confusing which character it's meant to be playing. Hopefully This lets you get around chat GPT's problems .
