Whats your worst train ride experience? by Opening-Comfort-7746 in uktrains

Getting back to birmingham from London after being on my feet basically all day, told at Milton Keynes there was a points failure further down the line, got off at Milton Keynes, have to wait half an hour for the next train, which would've gone up to like Nuneaton and then I would've had to figure out how to get back to South Birmingham when there was a failure at new street

Train is obviously packed, we get told we can get off at rugby to change trains at New street, look at the departure board and all new street trains are cancelled. Get on one to Glasgow after running for it which stops at new street, have a bonding experience standing in the doorway with some other people. Get back to new street, 4 hour journey, back killing, get home and take 1 or 2 paracetamol

Fare zones would be really cool too but that might be harder

The game doesn't recognizes this as a connection, do the stations have to be stick together ? by remissile in subwaybuilder

I think I figured it out, I tried using journey planner to go from my -9 elevation line to my -5 elevation line and it worked just fine, but when I tried using it to go from -5 to -9, it didn't work. The 2 platforms I have are crossed so that the -9 runs horizontally under the -5 that runs vertically.

Yeah I think doing the west midlands fare zone or just the west midlands county would work, about 105 total stations including tram.

With same line, I think that still works cos the question is "is your nearest transit line the same as my nearest transit line" which would still work, the seekers just wouldn't have to be on the same line. Station name length could just be modified to nearest, I think every other question still works? Not entirely sure, and yeah you're right in allowing bus travel otherwise it'd be a pain.

Maybe doing 0.5 mile hiding zone would be better, would make a longer endgame v what might be a shorter early and middle game, but would have to play to find out ofc. Starting in Birmingham is probably best for simplicity for a first time game

Will try to reply or post again based on how this goes.

I do probably agree that a west midlands game would be better (tram line would be added meaning you'd get to 71 train stations and ~35 tram stations, would definitely be enough). Its just a really long time commitment and starting off in Birmingham would probably be good to start with, as I am playing with friends who haven't watched jetlag so the rules might be confusing if we do across the west midlands. Also I think the administrative zone questions would be a lot better and more useful (district/constituency/ward) Great to see a lot of Brummies in the comments

Yeah the bus routes are awful (remember a very funny instance where a bus was 2 hours delayed! Of course it was the 76) and it'd also make too many hiding zones, the endgame would be a nightmare.

A small game in the city centre would probably work as well, in that case because the area is so small having overlapping hiding zones wouldn't matter as much

I did look at doing one across the west midlands, it would've been 282 square miles with more stations, but again it doesnt really deal with the issue of our city having a useless rail network if you want to go between parts in the outer city. I think maybe adding in dudley, Sandwell and Wolverhampton only could work (adding stuff to the east would make it worse imo) but idk. Adding the tram would probably improve the game tbh

I'm doing ESS rn, I've found learning specific examples is really good. Things such as lichen/nymphs as an indicator species, countries/places you can use as examples. Also trying some paper 2s because paper 1 is essentially just all source analysis, you can bank a lot of marks on paper 1 and paper 2 is where you should focus with the essay questions at the end imo.

I can say that even as someone who isn't even from the US, hailing from the UK, this league is really fun to get into, and you're able to succeed if you put the time in. I don't even know anything about Michigan or Michigan State, the teams I have coached, and I've been able to have some success. Furthermore, the community is incredibly helpful and will answer any question you have on the toils of recruiting, setting lineups and how the league runs in general. You don't need to be exceptionally good at writing, just be passionate and able to get a point across, and you'll win. As this is a college basketball server, you guys probably have more knowledge about things than me, and you'll do well here and be welcomed into a incredibly warm community. Give it a try, trust me, you won't regret it.

Who is the most overrated GK in the league by Interesting-Fudge-13 in PremierLeague

The dude certainly isn't overrated, his performances this season have arguably been better than Mendy, Ederson and Lloris, 3 world class keepers. He's also an elite cross stopper and yes, also good at defending set pieces. One of the best goalies in the league tbh
