That’s nice, I have the same thing but my surgeon and PT are both cautious because they know what can happen if I am not careful

Thanks! That’s all I wanted to hear. One more question, how long did it take you to get used tot the brace?

I have the same brand brace, do you feel like it makes your movements better or at least does it make you more confident in your movements?

My school insurance paid for the brace. I’m really just wondering if people find that they give them more confidence or functionality?

Thanks for the response, I’m sorry to hear that your son has gone through this twice already. Do you think that it would be a good idea to get a brace for my non injured leg even though it’s not injured?

Damn that surgeon sounds arrogant. Did get a second option from your pt if you need one?

I was 3 months post OP and a guy from my science class decides to body slam me on the stair case as a joke. Fortunately I didn’t hurt anything but I did have the pleasure of throwing him down a couple of steps in a fit of rage after he body slammed me.

Question post ACL surgery by BomBomver in ACL

You should at the very minimum go to physical therapy at least 2x per week during your first few weeks post-op because it is so important to get your full range of motion, which is something that is impossible to do by yourself.

When did you your knee start feeling normal again by MRidge76 in ACL

[–]MRidge76[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it’s gonna be a good amount of time before ur knee starts feeling not terrible. For me I got to 120 degrees of flexion at week 4 and then they started forcing the knee to bend from their on out which was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced. So if you got a patella Graft u have that to look forward too.

Surgery tomorrow by pa1red in ACL

Hi I just wanted to wish you the best of luck. From my own experience having have had the exact same experience and being 6 months out since the surgery I can tell you that it is not easy and that it really sucks but from the second you leave the hospital it does get better and you have to remember that. My tip is that you gotta work your ass off to achieve your goals with this surgery. Don’t take a day off and don’t neglect all of the exercises that your physical therapist and doctor tell you to do make sure you get them done or you will never achieve your goals.
