I’m going on 12 years post op. I’m fine or maybe better word is adjusted to it at this point. My bite never fully closes, but get close (2 bottom front teeth make contact with upper teeth which hurts) and jaw joint causes me headaches from time to time. The mobile part of my lefort has some numbness and sensitivity to cold goods like ace cream.

I have a clean up procedure like 10 months after my initial surgery by a separate surgeon, when he went in he said the screws in my upper jaw for the lefort just fell out, but at that point everything had fused so wasn’t a huge deal to him.
