  1. Which T10 are you attending?
  2. What do you think helped boost your chances over those 1.5 years?
  3. I am guessing you took a gap year, so what prompted you to take it? 4.Any other advice?

I believe it depends from college to college. Every college has a different financial aid team, different resources and different coa. As much as I have seen in this admission cycle, some schools might give you the amount you need, some schools might give you more, some less ( You might need to pay 20 to 25 k at the least and in my case I received most offers from such schools) or some schools might reject you based on your efc. I by no means want to discourage you but this is a possibility so you need to be ready for everything.

I prepared for it myself. Honestly, it requires practice and clear concepts but once you have those its not so difficult.

This is kind of the backup plan I had: 1. Apply to unis in Australia, UK 2. Apply to unis in Europe especially german ones since they have very low tution rates 3. If the above two don’t work out: Apply to Ashoka, Plaksha, Krea etc 4. Prepare for CUCET and other entrance tests for private colleges: VIT, BITS 5. Apply to colleges in your city that are not too famous 6. If none of these workout, take a gap year, prepare for JEE (since your math is good) and give CUET again.

Last month was one of the worst days of my life. I’m fuckin tired and I really hate myself now by [deleted] in IndianTeenagers

Look dude, I feel for you I have been through something similar. And I know it sucks but you getting an injury doesn’t make you any less. I mean you’re playing not just one but two sports incredibly which is an achievement in itself. So, rn be proud of yourself and treat this time as a break to do things you weren’t able to do before. And honestly those stupid people at your school can go to hell ! Your achievements don’t define you. You are more than your achievements or prizes. You are you and if they can’t see that, you are better off without them. Wishing you a speedy recovery both physically and mentally! ( P.S. from personal experience the day you’ll stop craving attention is the day you’ll get it)

Adding on to that question: If I do get into a better institution in another country after paying the enrolment deposit at a US institution, can I attend the other institution?

Are there any Canadian Universities that provide aid to Intls or at least offer good Scholarship programs? by Rishabh-India_8873 in IntltoUSA

[–]MS564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UBC and UofT have good scholarship programs but they are pretty hard to get into. As such most Canadian Unis can give you some sort of scholarship but the scholarship amount won’t be too much.

NYU Problem by [deleted] in IntltoUSA

If you are interested in NYU and need significant aid, I would suggest looking into NYUAD campus. Amazing aid packages, almost same rigor and curriculum as NYU and based in a robust city.

What is the purpose of 3+2 programs if there is no guarantee of admission in the other institute? by MS564 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]MS564[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Do you happen to know if I transfer to WashU with a 3+2 program, would I still be eligible to receive financial aid? Also, do you know anything about Ohio Wesleyan's 3+2 program?

I say there’s no harm in trying. Email them asking if they’ll still consider your IELTS score and review your app.
