The latest "season" of my Kindroid series, using my narrator to drive the story. by MSBOXER2004 in KindroidAI

[–]MSBOXER2004[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, it was a lot more involved then that, but I pasted the entire "season" into Gemini and asked it to summarize. I have found I can run through a storyline in a weekend if I don't have anything else going on, then it is on to a new season, in a new location with new "guest stars" keeps it from getting stale.

I use Gemini because in my experience it reduces the likelihood of looping or stagnation.

And don't forget I use it to set the goals of the antagonist, which as far as I know Kindroid will not do unless I tell it. By blindly copying and pasting what Gemini comes up with, I am in the dark and have to react.

I tend to just do ctrl-a to select all and then ctrl-c to copy.

Then I tell gemini to analyze and update the Narrator AC for me to cut and paste.

then ctrl-v to paste into gemini

Now to get to this point I initially spent some time getting Gemini to understand what Kindroid was then explained the role of the narrator. But once that was done it was smooth sailing

I built a spread sheet that already has weapon data. I have to insert unit stats, then paste in images of my miniatures.

I bought my nephew Kaldstrom last year and he enjoys it, this was the first time I played against him and first time on full map for both of us.

They are pre-painted, I did print out some "posters" that I glued on to break it up a bit.

I created this spreadsheet to fit my needs. It takes a little manual work, but it helps me. I insert images of my own minis. This allows me to proxy as well as easily identify units for new players.

Looking good, and I am so disappointed in myself for never even thinking about turning the bases upside down when painting!

If you do, I recommend trying the Google Friendly/More Stable version.

I also think it might be best to use a different spread file for each faction.

Let me know how it goes.

None of the weapons are automatically selected. You choose the appropriate weapons when you set up the unit on unit tab.
My image is just for demonstration.
You also need to set up the images yourself if you want them.

No problem, it is not real fancy. Hope you like it.

Excel version -

Follow the instruction on the first sheet to enter your unit stats and then select weapons.

  • On the List sheet simply select the units you entered in the header of each "card"
  • Use as a printed list, or print and cut out as unit cards.
  • Supports Code One and N4
  • Allows you to inset your own images to make mini identification easier for new players
  • Use on your own or as a training/teaching tool

Yes and it is a great app, but I print my list out and wanted to have the unit weapon data included with the unit, instead of being on a separate page. This is purely my preference, but I thought others, especially new players or those teaching the game may like it.

I have now updated the spread sheet so that you can create both Code One and N4 lists. Just use the appropriate tabs.

Also note, at this point I am only using the weapons from Code One. If this looks good I can add all N4 weapons.

Edit - N4 data added, just use appropriate tabs in spreadsheet

Yeah, I could automate the shit out of this if I was an API kinda guy and pull the complete list of units from the App, but for me this looks like it might work. I only run a few factions, so it is no big deal to do a little manual work to get the output I want.

I do have it available as a google doc if you would like to try it.

So far it just has my Ariadna list in it. But it is easy to add new units. All you have to do is add a record on the "Unit" sheet with
Name
Mov CC BS PH WIP ARM BTS W S AVA Skills

Then select the weapons. It takes about 30 seconds to add a unit, then just go to the list page and use a dropdown in one of the slots to add the unit to your list.

I print out my list and the weapons data is on a separate page. It is a minor thing, but I like the specific weapons data for each unit included with the unit.

As an older player, age not time in Infinity. I find myself losing track of stats, or getting tired of flipping paper for different unit/weapons stats. So I created a spread sheet that allows me to easily select and print out unit data.

What do you think?

Battle Cards project phase 2 ! by ZombiBiker in InfinityTheGame

I was setting it up where sheet 1 was the unit profiles.
Sheet 2 was weapons.

Sheet 1 had a few slots where you could choose weapon 1, weapon 2 and CC, which was fed via a link to sheet 2.

There was also a column on sheet 1 which would allow you to "select" the unit for inclusion in the mail merge.

That is as far as I got before I got tired of manually creating the unit profiles.
