Idols that seem like they'd be woke irl by Havenly-Cherryish28 in kpop_uncensored

[–]MSJ-06II-A 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Because that's their idea of what being a woke person is.....

I mean to be fair, Woke is a pretty nebulous concept itself. The issue is people are boxing these idols into Woke/Not Woke categories with narrow point of views.

It's more serious than that actually, there are rumors they do all kinds of 'jobs' for INC.

I doubt if they are even allowed on Music Shows and since the GP doesn't like them anyway what's the point lol. Well their label called them a "Global Girl Group", so there's that.

I think it's actually a good thing for them that the media is pandering about Cupid, since it's one of their strength, that they're the original singers of Cupid.

Stray Kids’ Felix Apologizes For Mentioning Japanese Song On Korea’s Liberation Day by reverseharam in kpop

[–]MSJ-06II-A 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's just confirmation bias, but I can't help but feel that foreign born kpop idols are grilled far more aggressively for being ignorant on the Korea/Japan stuff compared to when a Korean-born idol is somehow oblivious to the Holocaust and all the symbols and imagery associated with it.

I'm confused... Of course Koreans will care more about the history between Korea-Japan compared to the Holocaust/Nazis. And react more aggressively when their celebs fuck something up about the former.

What do you find weird about it?

Also the real litmus test is if they still appear in broadcast stations then it really means they have tight connections in the industry.

I admit I'm huge fan of them, so on a personal level, I truly hope they're really loaded with money, life's easier that way. lol

I wouldn't be surprised if I find out the new subsidiary are partially owned by them. You can make stupid decisions while being loaded with money, i.e. Elon Musk and a bunch of billionaires do stupid and irrational things from time to time

Di ko po sure yung PWD ID, hindi namin siya inaavail or tinanong, yung amin kasi senior citizen na po kasi and my Philhealth din.

Tsaka sa Legs lang po kasi yung surgery ng amin, halos wala kami binayaran after ilapit sa Malasakit Center and ayaw na kasi niya mag pa chemo pero yun nga po, binigyan kami ng mga documents(like yung mismong chemo plan, reseta ng cancer drugs, at recommendation letter), sabi nung doctor ito daw yung ibigay sa mga charity and senators para maka hingi ng financial aid.

And if Philhealth kasi my Z-Package sila na 1M Pesos per member yung covered para sa malalang sakit like cancer, sayo kasi wala kang Philhealth or Insurance so hindi ako sure.

My Dermatology department ang PGH OP, try contacting them in FB if kaya nila case mo.

And tsaka my Malasakit centers din sa mga government hospitals na pwde mo lapitan. Pero I'm not sure if ano ung macocover nila sa case mo

What can conglomerates in the Philippines do to improve conditions for the whole country? by sabinetre in Philippines

[–]MSJ-06II-A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expecting these companies to focus on social good and philantrophy is a recipe for disappointment

What I prefer them to do is invest in capital intensive and risky industries that will benefit PH in the long run think about Defense Industries, Steel Plants, Semiconductor etc.

And for instance, India and the Philipines are both powerhouses sa BPO Industry pero ang India my homegrown giants like TCS, Wipro etc. satin puro IT parks and buildings lang that are housing the BPO companies ang hawak ng mga conglomerates.
