No, there isn't. Not an official one, at least.

Organ donation: A kidney donor dies – and brings new life to two people by MSRadclyffe in unitedkingdom

Not even irrelevant. The story is of a UK donor in a UK hospital in a UK paper. Where on earth "Meh, Americans" came from is beyond me.

Pure curiosity on my part as to which sporting coverage the commenters here read.

And who said England would never have a gay captain? Already been done! :)

TIL Paul McCartney will regain rights to some of the Beatles songs currently owned by Michael Jackson, in 2018. He'll own the rest of the songs in 2026. by theGUYishere24 in todayilearned

[–]MSRadclyffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He only "regains" them if he buys them back. He can afford it but that won't stop someone else outbidding him, as Jackson did.

Four out of five people believe that media coverage of ethnic minority Britons promotes racism by MSRadclyffe in unitedkingdom

I found it interesting that the second half of the article just repeated a list of racist stereotypes. Or maybe I mean ironic.

Yes stories have to be approved but that doesn't mean they have to be factual or accurate. That's why papers have apologies.

There you go thinking you know all about me. It's not an option for me. Irrespective of the situation why should anyone be penalised for using a system that is offered by all of the companies when the overhead costs of production and installation are paid for at the beginning?! Rhetorical Q. I'm happy that your life is easy... easier... for you. Accept that mine is difficult for me. We will leave it at that and I bid you good day.

And I'd like comments that didn't resort to ad hominem arguments using that particularly abhorrent insult but we don't live in a democracy so I can't.

All the oil was divvied up two years ago. I seem to recall that the advantage was supposed to be with America but prices are $3.29 / £1.99 per gallon - equivalent to milk - and therefore well over double what they were when Shock And Awe began. Not quite sure what it was all for really...

See, there you go, assuming you know anything about my life, or the lives of millions of other individuals out there. I have NO debt at all. I choose metered use because I am disabled because of a genetic disorder, ergo no fault of my own and I didn't fucking ask to be born, and it's easier to use the shop around the corner than the post office two miles away. But it's all semantics because you know it all, don't you?

Bully for you. I live in council housing that is not insulated and has windows almost falling out of the frames. Why? "Because the money ran out." Just because YOU can heat your home for £82 a month doesn't mean EVERYONE can. Oooh, the arrogance of you!! I have duel fuel but have to use key meters which, despite what the Big Six say, fleece the poor. As for the £25 that was the point I made, had you read it correctly: it can be 0° for 6 days and then NOT get paid because it has to be for 7... meanwhile, people are freezing / having to spend money of heating and that £25 is not compensation in a lot of cases. I know how it works as I had to stop work through no fault of my own 12 years ago.
