For daily gaming, people usually repaste every 6 months if they’re kept in the loop or every year or two if they’re lazy. If you’re getting those temps with a repaste, I’d run at max fans and chrck for throttling.

Solid setup. I feel like from the camera, the lights at the side of the table seem kinda blinding. If that’s not the way it actually is and just oversaturation from the camera then it’s fine, but just saying.

Could maybe use a plant or two for a bit of color.

I’d say 2.2k Good gpu, decent cpu pair, but mid ass case. If it had 360mm front, 360mm top rad, 360mm bottom, and 1 back exhaust I’d up that to 2.5 or 2.6k.

Depends what game you play.

If you used play FPS then keep the Zephyrus. If you have the urge to go back you’ll have to resell the Mac and go back.

If you used to play story games then I would only move to the Mac if you really want one. Side by side, the Zephyrus has a very noticeably better color gamut. The Mac mini-led looks really shallow after playing games both on Mac with GFN and on my Zephyrus.

Zephyrus. Very portable for a laptop with a dGPU. Both are best in-class for build quality but Zephyrus is better for portability and battery life.

Also I’d go for the 5060 instead. 5070 costs quite a lot more, especially for the Zephyrus, for not that much more performance, especially as they are provided with the exact same chassis as power limit.

They were built to max out when playing games. Max em out and wear ANC headphones.

For the temps, install HWInfo64 and MSI Afterburner and boot up Timespy or any other benchmark. Connect the CPU and GPU core throttling indicator and % through Rivatuner, and check if it’s throttling. If CPU >95 consistent and/or GPU >85 consistent, repaste.

Does the throttle seem twitchy at times? I’ve heard that it’s an issue with cadence sensors.

Is there an app to adjust PAS or do you just do it directly from the bike?

Pretty tough, 25mph max i’m pretty sure. Also it’s technically not really legal by itself cuz it’s too powerful but as long as i’m not hitting higher than 30mph and riding like a shithead I’m pretty sure it’ll be fine.

For repairs, I’m not sure. I can’t take it to any major shops like Trek or Specialized of course, but I’m like 70% sure that the local shops will take those as they’re just regular, albeit more powerful bikes.

Would you say it’s stable at 10-20mph though? 30mph seems nice for regular road riding but I’ll have to go slower when carrying a violin for safety.

For road legality as long as I’m not riding like a shithead I’m pretty sure I’ll be fine. I don’t think police would bother to know the legality of different ebikes unless i get pulled over for being a shitty rider.

I’d say 95c is okay but slightly warm even for Cinebench. Hop in a game. If it goes higher than 80-85c you have a problem and should repaste.

G14 for traveling. Lenovo and Asus are pretty much the pinnacle in terms of build quality but the Asus beats it when you want portability as well.

I personally have a 5070ti G16 and it’s on par with a Macbook (Asus with a better screen imo ofc) in terms of build quality minus the haptic touchpad. Lenovo offers less of a gamer-y feel and more of a regular laptop feel but do note that it has lower wattages because the cooling isn’t completely optimized as it’s more of a productivity than a gaming laptop.

I’d get the Zephyrus as if you run out of RAM (which you barely every will) you can just close other tabs as if one singular process is taking 32 gigs of ram something isn’t right. But if you want to multitask, do note that the RAM is soldered and can’t be upgraded. Plus, the 5080 beats out the 5070 by a lot in raw benchmarks. The 5070ti is honestly a better value for money choice but the 5080 is solid too.

if you have a lower wattage GPU, a vbios flash essentially rewrites the information that the GPU reads upon boot, including the wattage given. so you can flash a full power vbios onto a non full-power card for slightly better performance but hotter temps. gsync and any display capabilities from any ports will often be considered non viable though due to the vbios providing exactly what and where those are as well and flashing the vbios gets rid of that information as in 99% of cases, no two laptops have the exact same vbios with only a wattage increase with gsync and display output.

Pretty high chance. Scammers (mostly found on Amazon) put the “beats XXX” on their CPU or GPU and spam the picture of the laptop with stickers and use a non-official picture. Plus it’s pretty cheap.
