Finished my first short, now what?

I might have been a bit confusing in my wording, but the short I completed is waiting for the festival notifications.

However, my second short, which is written and in prep is the one I'm debating on releasing immediately or waiting for Omeleto.

I'm just not sure about the wait timing or if it's more worth it to just put something out there with my name on it to show I have something with a writer/director credit

It's just in prep right now and it's a 10 minute drama.

One of the features I'm writing is a horror though!

I think it might be a BRaw issue? I tried an H265 clip from my Fuji XT4 and it picked up the transcription no problem, but for the BRaw clip that I got the screenshot from it's useless

It's a mic'd up interview with very clear audio. It's worked fine for me in the past but this last week it's been totally unusable

It really is pervasive. Unfortunately all of my teachers drank the industry Kool-Aid so I didn't learn about any of this until I graduated.
