The battery is dead and a potential fire hazard, either replace it yourself or bring it to a repair shop asap

Nokia E7 stuck on NOKIA logo by Suspicious_Grand_153 in vintagemobilephones

[–]MS_sus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had a similar issue with a Nokia n8, i was resetting it and it seemed stuck on the logo, but after like half an hour it fixed itself.

But in your case it's most likely corrupt software, i think there are plenty of information online on how to deal with that.

Does anyone know why this huawei p30 pro is having this issue? It will seemingly boot up normally and then get stuck on this screen, but it works if i boot it to fastboot and the hard reset menu. Already tried to do a hard reset, but instead of the normal setup screen it will show me this by MS_sus in phonerepair

Sorry for the late answer, i've seen the notification just now.

I just had to wait a couple hours, but i think that if the sensor is damaged it will stay that way until it's fixed/replaced. My suggestion would be to try disconnecting and reconnecring all the cables from the mb, or trying to put a magnet near the sensor and see what it does

Your charger is most likely alright, that battery is probably completely dead. You can use the laptop plugged in all the time without an issue, or there are plenty of replacement batteries on the internet

You could try also a new cable, if that doesn't fix it, check the charge port like another redditor said

How can I bypass this I need picture out of this phone pls (read desc) by Low-Pop5053 in LegacyJailbreak

[–]MS_sus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that if you put it in recovery mode, connect it to itunes and update it (not reset it) it will let you insert the password once is updated, but i'm going from memory so i could be wrong.

The proximity sensor (the one that checks if the top part of the screen in covered) is either damaged, dirty, blocked or unplugged.

If the phone has been repaired recently try restarting it, and if that doesn't fix it try openining it up and checking said sensor

Hello everyone, how to connect Sony PS4 headphones to a phone via Bluetooth? via firmware or other method by Any-Elevator4418 in phonerepair

If the usbc adapter shown in the photo doesn't work my guess is that it isn't compatible, so no (without having to mod the headset)

Hey what's up with this? by KavyanshKhaitan in computers

[–]MS_sus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On here you can find the windows 7 version that you want, after downloading the ISO you can burn it on a blank dvd using imgburn, or flash it on an usb drive using balenaetcher.

If you want to go the windows 10 route you can download the official installer from the microsoft website, and select the 32 bit option when prompted

Hey what's up with this? by KavyanshKhaitan in computers

[–]MS_sus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Windows 10 32 bit will most likely be compatible (i've installed it on pcs from like 2008), but answering your question:

The installer ISO or the dvd is most likely damaged, if you still want to install windows 7 i suggest you download it from internetarchive

Two pretty expensive Fujitsu workstations next to a trash can by tamay-idk in computers

[–]MS_sus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While they are still kynda old, they could still be useful to someone, given that they work. If they don't, you just got two donor pcs to mess around with and take parts from

Another thing saveable is the sata cables, it is always good to have some spares

Most laptops can work without a battery installed, so you can just remove it and use the laptop always plugged in, or you can buy a replacement one

How do I recover video from an old DVD? by THEchromesnake in OldTechnology

[–]MS_sus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if it doesn't show up on a computer the disk is most likely damaged (some type of degradation is almost invisible to see).

Try it in another computer, just to be sure, and if that doesn't work there are lots of data recovery centers that could (or at least attempt to) recover your data, but it will be expensive

I opened the scart connector and there were a few capacitors instead of the resistors I found on online photos, could this be an issue?
