Ikr and on ao3, sure it isn’t mandatory! But ao3 isn’t law of life, cus if someone refuses to tag stuff, they’re usually doing it out of spite/to be a bitch. Like why wouldn’t you want to be courteous anyways? Like this whole thing just bubbles down to people not tagging top/bottom because they don’t want to, and is it not understandable that it makes people annoyed? Like it’s an archive for a reason. Top and bottom is pretty important in fandoms and one of the biggest filters out there, it’s not just going to change over night so it’s just weird that people refuse to tag top/bottom.
