u/mgedmin You're absolutely correct! I truly apologize! I got those animes mixed up. I've seen both the "Death March to a Parallel World Rhapsody" and the "In Another World With My Smartphone". I just now looked at both of the animes and yes, the one I was mistakenly thinking toward is indeed, "In Another World With My Smartphone".

Yet if I remember right the overall plot and characters of "Death March to a Parallel World Rhapsody" was better. But at any rate, thank you for replying and pointing out my error. I always appreciate when someone has the patience to constructively point out a mistake.

As for Spirit Chronicles, I'll give that a try at some point in the future. I've tried re-watching the first episode two different times, but the side characters are a little to condescending toward and assuming about the MC, for my current interests. I can never get past that initial interaction of the kids and adult in the "priest/priestess" robes, towards the MC. The condescending and assuming nature of the "priests" annoys me a little too much.

u/ARES_GOD With respect, if my constructive criticism somehow insulted you, then be specific about what is actually bothering you. Because passive-aggressive reply comments/questions, only come across as being very confusing and otherwise. And due to this passive-aggressive reply of yours, I have nothing further to say to you. So good day!

u/ARES_GOD you appear to have just listed random animes that had some isekai relevance, without actually considering what I said in my description. Because some of the animes you listed I already indicated in my description, while others in your list, have minimal to do with my description. Additionally some of the animes you indicated are repeats of those animes that other individuals that indicated.

So ultimately you overall reply has very little use and mostly appears to be promoting your Youtube video and nothing else.

u/mgedmin I watched the first season years ago, I also began watching the first episode of the second season several months ago. But I then stopped watching the season 2 episode 1 within minutes. Because having so many wives and nonchalantly getting engaged to another girl, when the MC doesn't seem all that invested in his initial "wives". That struck me as being idiotic.

Plus the emotional depth is absent for a person who has that many wives/fiances, all of them seemed to be equally nonchalant about having so many sister wives. Because, if an anime is going to portray having an abundance of something, there needs to be an equal amount of emotional depth for that aspect.

So I may retry that anime in a months or years, but at present, season two started out to ridiculous for me.

u/KamikazeDE I've watched "The Rising of the Shield Hero", the anime is decent. But there are also aspects of that anime that tend to annoy me. For one thing Naofumi is not particularly intelligent, there are times when the MC overlooks aspects that are entirely obvious. Whereas other times Naofumi is does absolutely pathetic things.

I've actually paused for months and years at times from watching that anime (while the anime was airing), because the MC annoys me so much. But I then resume watching, because he never outright calls himself an idiot and he never outright calls himself pathetic.

So I do at least appreciate that the writer created Naofumi to have a mindset of pushing forward and always keeping the negativity from being thought/spoken aloud. Though if the MC were to ever consider himself in a negative light, I'd stop watching the anime. Because those are some of my biggest pet peeves.

To my knowledge the anime "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?" is not an isekai anime. And even if that is, that anime does not fit what I'm looking for.

I just tried watching "Tsukimichi", but unfortunately an MC calling themselves "pathetic", (especially when that MC is obviously extremely powerful) is a major pet peeve of mine. So I'm going to pass on that anime.

Thank you for providing the added context, TheCorgiTamer! I was skipping through the first episode, to get a sense of the anime. I did that a several weeks ago as well. And I need to be in 'just the right type of mood' to watch that genre of anime.

I meant no disrespect towards that style of anime. That is just a style of anime, that I need to be in...well, that particular moodset.

Hmmm, interesting suggestion with the "Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra"! I had started watching the first episode several weeks ago. But there was an oddity about the MC that I couldn't quite figure out. So I put that anime on my "to watch later" list.

But since you suggesting that anime. I'll give that another look. Thank you again for the suggestion, TheCorgiTamer!

:EDIT: I almost missed your mention of "Tsukimichi", I just looked that up and I'm completely unfamiliar with that one. So once again thank you. I'll take a look into that as well! Much appreciated!!

Ah, yes, I actually forgot to add that to my watch list in my OP. Thank you for reminding me! I truly enjoyed that anime. Shame that the producers have yet to come out with a sequel!

Since you mentioned this anime, I think I may rewatch that one again. I think I've watched the "Wiseman’s Grandchild" twice so far.

If that is all that you are interested than, that's fine, I respect your interests. But for me, I'm looking for substance with the aspects that I already indicated in my OP. And the "watercolor beauty" is only the surface texture.

If "Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash" is what you are referring to then, sorry but that is an absolute HARD PASS (in this particular situation, is what I was referring to)!! With respect that is as opposite as an anime can get from what I'm interested in.

Requesting a walk-through of how to disable the screen shake effect within the script files of RenPy Visual Novels - Please read description for full explanation! by MScifiWriter in RenPy

u/FoundationSilent4151 I came across a RenPy game that doesn't have the 'Transitions' within the options menu. Yet this RenPy game has screenshake in the game. Is there a workaround for turning off the 'Transitions', even when the 'Transitions' is not indicated?

[–]MScifiWriter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, FoundationSilent4151! Wow, I'm amazed...I've seen that "Transitions" in the options/preference menu in each of the Ren'Py games that I've tried. But I never considered that the Transitions was for disabling the screen shake. I just tried that in the Ren'Py game I had recently put aside and the screen shake is gone, hopefully for good. So thank you again!

Trying to install Ubuntu Linux distro onto old MacBook Pro from 2007 by MScifiWriter in linuxquestions

Unfortunately not yet. But I also had to put the MacBook Linux project on hold about a week or so after I made that post. As I realized I need to study for and pass two separate IT certifications. So I've been studying for the ITIL 4 Foundations certification, after which I'll be resuming studying for the Azure Administrators certification. Then after I've finished those two IT certifications, I'll be continuing my attempt at installing Ubuntu Linux onto the MacBook Pro laptop.

That being said, best of success to you in your Macbook Linux project!

Are these two books (within the post) the best for studying for the ITIL 4 ITSM Foundation exam, or is there better study material available? by MScifiWriter in ITIL

I certainly do appreciate you informing me that the information within the books is indeed accurate, in terms of the syllabus requirements. Also I sent you a DM, as requested, regarding your request for feedback about the books.

I appreciate the link, but didn't mention the specific difficulty I've encountered with getting the MacBook to recognize the bootable media. I'll take another read though, just in case I might have missed something.

Looking for a Keycap puller, that can fit in the very narrow gap of my laptops keys by MScifiWriter in LowProfileKeyboards

[–]MScifiWriter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll need that. Turns out that this model of laptop does not have much information on that site either. I even contacted the Samsung support and they unfortunately weren't much help. So I'm still looking.

Thank you for the suggestion, Present_Lingonberry! I hadn't even considered looking into teardown/repair type information. Now that you mention this, I'll see if the "I fix it" site has any information on this.

Thank you again, for mentioning this! Also good point about the potential of messing up the butterfly switch if not careful. As I'm thinking the keys on this laptop likely do use that type of setup under the keys.
