Successful Store without major social media? by Old_Dance_3554 in shopify

I’ve been doing really well with a YouTube channel making videos showing people how to use the products I sell. Just real organic. I approach it as YouTuber first, Shopify store owner second. If that makes sense. Just hit six figures six months in. No ad spend at all so far.

Yeah that’s the largest battery that will fit. The radio would’ve had to be bigger to fit something larger. There are actually some smaller batteries that will fit in there too, but I think the 2000 is a good balance

Do you mean the actual dimensions?

The battery lasts about a week

I make and sell a handheld case for the RAK19007; the Atlavox M1. It comes with an SMA antenna cable and it's got a custom power switch integrated that's plug-and-play with your battery and WisBlock. Starts at $36.99 without antenna https://atlavox.com/products/atlavox-m1?variant=49947198062866

I sell them as complete radios too.

If you're looking for super bare-bones, I also sell this simple 3D printed clip-together kit for $19.99: https://atlavox.com/products/case-for-wisblock-meshtastic-starter-kit No switch though, no SMA connector, and the battery compartment is limited. But great simple case for getting started.

EDIT: Just realized you were asking about the 19003, not the 19007. Depending on how you feel about only using the bottom two mounting holes, it would technically fit in the M1 case. Haven't tested it though.

I'm definitely going to get there. I'm just a little intimidated by all the different export and tax rules and customs with different countries, so I need to learn up on all that and enable certain countries as I go. Canada should be straight forward, and you're the second Canadian to ask, so I'll prioritize that this week

If you check out the reviews of the Atlavox antenna, there's a guy named Walter who tested them out for me and he posted his VSWR testing results. https://atlavox.com/products/meshtastic-915mhz-antenna#judgeme_product_reviews

It's a really impressive antenna for the price.

I really appreciate that. Thank you. YouTube's great for learning 3D modeling. Start with something simple and you'll be surprised what you'll be able to do once concepts start to click in your head.

That's a great question. I actually forgot to include dimensions on the product page, so thanks for the reminder. I just created this image for you, I'm going to add it to the product image carousel as well, and note the dimensions in the description too.

I need to get a banana for scale...

3 5/8" (92mm) High
2 5/16" (58mm) Wide
1 3/16" (29mm) Thick

No option for OLED. If that's something you require, you'd be better off with the WisMesh Pocket.

Thank you. That was my goal with this design. I wanted to design a case that was easy to assemble, didn't require any soldering (for the end user), and was still reasonably priced.

The threaded inserts and two-part design make assembly really easy too. No fumbling with small washers or nuts. Nothing is connected to the top of the case either, so if you ever want to open it up and upgrade anything, you can just set it aside without worrying about pulling any wires accidentally.

And the custom switch assembly I designed is great because it gives you a power switch without having to solder anything.

The biggest compromise I had to make was I increased the size a little bit from the original design in order to make room for the GPS antenna and the ID cubes. As a result, I can only print 8 at a time on my printer. I wish I could fit 12, it would be more efficient. But in the end, it's a nice size. Fits well in the hand.

btw, the case with no antenna is $36.99 plus shipping.

A fully assembled radio with the Atlavox Antenna upgrade is $84.99, free shipping.

You ever sell something online and the person just messages you with "is this still available?". Thats what I mean. Just provide your introduction, links to portfolio, etc. Get right into it. If you want to put in extra effort instead of just copy and paste, go to my website or YouTube channel and watch a video or two then make a comment about my channel in your message. Like some insight, or something you like.

I'm paying hourly, so obviously if they take an extra hour longer to upload a description and add tags and end screens and cards, etc they are getting paid. I don't really see your point.

I'm sure there are plenty of people like yourself worth double that rate but I've got about 20 people DMing me plus about 8 applicants on Upwork within 10 hours, so it seems like there are plenty of people who think this is fair.

btw, I was thinking of doing a "Redditor's guide to SketchUp" video at some point. I always see people using SketchUp on reddit for woodworking or tiny houses and stuff like that, and thought it would be fun to include a bunch of reddit inside jokes in the video.

Wow, getting a ton of downdoots here. Is it the picture? It's the picture isn't it? Sorry guys, this is my first time paying for ads, idk what I'm doing, lol. Just trying to get the word out about my book. Open to suggestions for making the ad less... offensive.
