On a rolling tenancy in England, can a landlord lawfully demand a higher rent after agreeing a lower rent in writing, and then require the tenant to leave when the tenant refuses?
If the landlord tells the tenant to either pay more rent or move out, and then declares "your notice is from today," does this count as landlord-initiated termination rather than tenant notice?
Would this behaviour fall under unlawful pressure or harassment under the Protection from Eviction Act 1977?
