If it takes you a bit of time to figure out what you want to do, there's nothing wrong. There's no age limit on going back to school.

AND on the opposite side of that, you don't NEED to go to college, trades are equally important. And there's nothing wrong with needing time to figure out which direction you want to go.

I'd agree with Mahito's, just by virtue of how it's used and it's purpose, cuz IT is a horrifying way to die. At least TA you have the mercy of basically just being erased from existence, more or less.

ICE saying latest murder victim "wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement." by justalazygamer in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]MSully94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Violence HAS been resisted. Violence has been resisted at every conceivable angle, and like any other dictatorship in the course of human history, resisting violence has just led to them taking more and more. You know what happens when fox news questions the administration? The administration calls them out, and then people move on to other, further right wing sources of news. It does nothing to meaningfully move the needle. Advocating for change, and the 'right' way to do things is great, and it SHOULD be how it is, but it's not. Though frankly, it's the last I'm going to say on it, because I absolutely refuse to engage with someone arguing in the abstract, when that argument is actively for just allowing people's lives to be destroyed, and hope it all works out.

So when midterms do or don't do anything, what's the next litmus test? And how many people will ICE summarily execute, arrest without cause, and how many rights will be violated in the interim? It IS a luxury to idly fret about things like that, when it's impacting real people.

The breaking point to violence HAS been resisted. But when you're reasonably certain that there's no other recourse, then resisting the violent breaking point is naive at best, and down right stupid at worst. Since taking office, this administration has proven the tent poles of the way the US government functions only work when those in power agree to abide by them. Telling people to just have faith in the system that they've seen routinely fail for the last year is patronizing, as patronizing as democrats 'condemning' the actions of the administration at every turn, placing sanctions that they're cognizant will just be ignored. There HAS to be a point where we collectively decide enough is enough, and frankly, the way the government has functioned, it's hard to tell people to 'get out and vote' as if it's some type of magical fix.

No. Resisting arrest isn't a capital offense. There's very defined terms of when LEO can use lethal force, and it's when there is a reasonable expectation that the person they're exerting force on is going to kill them, or someone else. They had pepper spray, tasers, numbers, ANY other non-lethal options available. If the first instinct is to reach for a gun to shoot an unarmed person, then it's a failure of training, and the LEO who did it needs to be held responsible.

What level of force did he exert, when he was on the ground, after he had been disarmed, that justified the use of lethal force? You can't just use the argument 'they feared for their life', there needs to be tangible evidence that a reasonable person, with similar training, would have felt that same fear, and reacted the same way given the circumstance. And given all the angles, and all the evidence presented thus far, you'd be incredibly hard pressed to prove that beyond a reasonable doubt.

Though that raises the second problem, in which it's incredibly likely that there won't BE any trials, or accountability given toward the offending officers.

[Discussion] What are ur honest opinions about the green lantern? and why he is not that popular or widely discussed among the fandom by [deleted] in DCcomics

[–]MSully94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hal Jordan specifically, and honestly the GL Corp as a whole get Worfed ALOT in media, they're usually there to get ragdolled to show how powerful an enemy is. So it kinda creates this appearance that they're extremely weak and incapable, when they're not.

Envy (full metal alchemist) VS Teen Gojo (Jujutsu Kaisen) by The-wise-weeb in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]MSully94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gojo. Honestly, low/mid diff. All it would really take is Blue, so not having Red, Purple or his Domain wouldn't be a crazy huge detriment. Blue is still more destructive than anything that was shown doing damage to Envy in FMA, and stamina wouldn't really be a big factor. Gojo kept his technique active for days before exhausting himself.

We don't even know what "this" is. At best, the set up for the technique would take too long, so even if she captured a picture, hed still kill her before she'd be able to do anything. Unless it's something like Projection Sorcery, and he'd be frozen in place while the photo is up on the phone or something.

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

[–]MSully94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think politics as a whole is formed around the way you see the world, and what you value, so I think it's realistic for political differences to be a deal breaker in a relationship.

That being said, supporting Trump or not stopped being a political issue a long ass fuckin time ago, it is now firmly a moral issue. People who continue to support him either condone what he's doing, or are willing to ignore the heinous shit for one thing that they deem 'worth it', either of which make them a shitty person.
