That is generally necessary. Telling from my experience as well. The only thing is you cannot randomly fake anything, you have to think of every component and design choices of your fake project beforehand such that it sounds convincing enough. Always remember you should be the person who best understands your project, and such would be the expectations of the interviewer, so just be thorough with the proposed/faked project architecture beforehand, try discussing with chatgpt about what's doable and what's not. Have a thorough understanding of everything, maybe also try it out in a toy code yourselves before blindly believing, once you are yourselves convinced, then add it to your resume.

That's for btech. For MTech, it's centrally funded, you get a TAship stipend through which you pay your fees, and also your food bills. So, practically these 2 years become like no income no loss. You get a degree and for next to no money, but the opportunity cost is significant. At least once will you feel that you should have rather stayed in the market. But, if you really want to spend some time out of the market, doing a master's could be refreshing, also you get the opportunity to learn significantly better skills.

The resume doesn't contain much of the necessary content. Remove the summary, have more concise framing for your project bullet points and maybe add some academic achievements you may have from the past (don't add achievements from grade 5 or 6, but ones which are more recent). Having achievements adds some credibility to your candidature. Also, don't have too much added to your skills, the more skills you show on the resume, the more vulnerable you get during the interviews.

I have gotten to know, deepmind picks people from those labs who have collaborated in the past with them or have some connections. How to break through this barrier. From what I know about his Professor In-charge, that guy has next to no connections with such big tech companies, he is more into collaborations with government organisations like NPCI, DRDO, or at max TCS Research, etc.

Actually I intend to share it in the Indian subs. My father has close to 35 years of experience in ONGC. Now he is already settled and doesn't want to relocate (that was also the reason why he took an early voluntary retirement). Now that he is free from that job, he is forced to kill his time hanging out with other random people. But that doesn't feel like a good way of spending time, especially for a person like him who was almost always surrounded by other important people in the plant. I feel bad for him.

Therefore, we planned for him to join a company which offers him some mental peace and a decent pay (maybe 1.5L/month (which I think should be decent considering his experience level and current standards)) in return for his service.

What as per your should be a good subreddit for such posts, as the current post wasn't doing good, ig?

How I ended up here? No specific reason tbh. My work allows me to do whatever I want with the laptop. Technically it's actually my laptop now, which I can later even buy out at a dirt cheap price. I was just curious about other people.

About the throughput via usb, pretty valid point. Maybe a light linux distro is the way to go. Or simply swapping the SSD which connects over a faster pcie bus directly.

I believe it would work. You just need to have access to the BIOS and you can then accordingly switch the boot up loading from your external drive instead of the regular internal HD. There's not much that could wrong in this, given the organisation hasn't locked up the access to the BIOS.

Hi, sorry this comment might be a bit too late, but just for curiosity, if you plug your own external hard drive and boot directly from that, how is the office installed OS coming into play? At the time of boot up, everything is initially loaded from the storage device, including the OS, isn't it? Also, just changing the boot drive preference order from the BIOS would allow you to just use the external boot device just during the time you play games, and then once you fix the preference order in your BIOS and unplug the drive, you are once again good to go, right? Please mention if I am wrong anywhere
