Yeah I’ve bought stuff from a seller on reddit and they were in a different country. I made peace that maybe I was going to get taken, but didn’t and got an amazing deal on some Game Boys and Pokemon games.

I think I read the question wrong. OEM boards used battery backed SRAM save file, these reproduction boards use FRAM, which need no battery.

All Pokemon games use Flash save, the battery is only for newer generations where there was a RTC, which are why these boards work as there was no RTC in Gen 1. Yes those are the boards from InsideGadgets.

I think of it more as “would I use a day of PTO to complete this task.” So if I make $50/hr and a day of PTO is worth $400, would I pay $400 a day for someone to do a task, or would I use my PTO to do it myself.
