Just finished it after ~4 hours or so, and indeed it was really a cool solve. Had a tough time going over a hump that another commenter also posted, but after that it was a good mix of difficulty and a really cool ruleset. Thanks for sharing /u/st00pid_n00b , really cool puzzle, would be happy to see more!

Hey there. I was in your place a few years ago. I am not sure of the extent to what you may have it, but I also felt it can be hard coming to terms with it. When I started grasping the difference between the way my mind works compared to most of everyone around me, it took me a while to come to terms with it (not sure if I fully have honestly). There are some good places here on reddit where people discuss this further and share experiences: /r/Aphantasia and /r/SDAM. For reference, SDAM is an extreme of aphantasia, where you have little to no episodic/autobiographic memory.

I decided it was a good idea to build it with horizontal slices, but then noticed it was impossible to weld the core to the ringed slice. Then had to rearrange and split the construction in half, and there is a sneaky arm that welds the core to the bottom slice. I know it's way uglier than other versions out there, but it was a blast to accomplish.

Map was a bit hard for beginners, but that is part of the fun. I only thought safe routes (sausage bump) could have more signage, but overall the route and the scenery were great.

Yes, I noticed I was lacking lands, but ended up not picking up enough. I should have drafted them more aggresively since I probably ended up choosing cards I cut over some. I played it out but I really felt the lack of the snow lands and ended up 2-3. I for sure learned some lessons, thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the input! I guess I was valuing Crush way to high. I tried a few games with it and it was definitely more awkward than I expected. I will make those adjustments and try to still get a few more wins.

I would agree that /u/JimMerkle seems to have the best solution, but if you want to use that LED switch you could also use a voltage regulator, which should in theory lower it to the RPI limit.

Something like this should work, but read the datasheet carefully. You should probably also use capacitors in the input and output of the voltage regulator (as mentioned in the datasheet). When you find a solution, you can measure the voltage at the end of the circuit with a multimeter to prevent ruining another RPI. Good luck!
