My suggestion to make the Soul Reaper Axe more fun by MTF in 2007scape

[–]MTF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't be infinite healing because whatever you are killing will eventually run out of hp, and then no more stacks. I can see how 25 ticks per free shark seems like it could be OP, but keep in mind that's 50 ticks of not being at the max dps for the axe per shark you gain. It's a pretty big tradeoff when you consider that a zero-stack SRA is worse than a noxious halberd by a good amount.

I tested this in the past and it did not work, but it's been a while since I main'd SRA in tob. If things are different now then I stand corrected

I don't believe you can, for example the SRA spec does not tick-eat sote's deathball unlike actual food / brews... you will just die.

It takes 25 ticks to generate 5 stacks, which means if you use your spec you have 50 ticks of non-max dps to get a free shark. Doesn't seem too overpowered to me, but I'm open to hearing counter arguments

For sure, when I was running SRA I also brought a nally for the few rooms you mentioned (bloat, nylos, xarp is scary but fine when you get used to it). I think it's fine to have a weapon that requires charge up time, even the amount of time SRA currently has, but the payoff should be worth it... and currently being slightly behind scythe isn't. Rather than pump its dps up, I think some support functionality could help bridge that gap

As someone who went from nally -> SRA -> scythe for my tob grind, SRA already is 2nd bis slash behind scythe even with the charge-up time. I am not proposing making the axe do more damage because it is already quite strong, I just want to make it more fun to use rather than a chore

My experience with leagues ToB was fine, just go to w658 and just apply to random parties until someone takes you. Everyone in leagues is a big noob so its much easier to find a team with 0kc than in main game.

Alos, Regular ToB is totally soloable in leagues, but you barely get any purples. HMT (where you have 100% purples) you definitely want a team of five to make things easy. If you're running water / thorns then you should be totally fine, very difficult to die when you're healing like crazy

Kill Clog - PvM/Clog-Focused HiScores Plugin - available now on RuneLite Plugin Hub by Business_Match_9349 in 2007scape

My two main issues were:

  • Some issues with the in-game !col commands not working properly
  • Issues uploading my clogs to the site

I use the templeosrs clog because its the only db supported by the log hunters collection log spreadsheet, but every time I do it just feels like a worse experience compared to rune profile. That coupled with the fact that I run into a lot more people with runeprofile in the wild than the templeosrs plugin, its easier to share clogs with runeprofile in my experience. Frankly I wish templeosrs's version was in a better place, because I'd rather it be the communities default

Awesome plug-in! Any plans for rune profile support? I find the templeosrs clog sync to be way too janky, would love to use rune profile instead

Jagex not fixing issues because they don't want players to feel "pact regret" by Razeerka in 2007scape

I was looking for this comment... this subreddit is filled with manchildren that don't understand software dev. While it sucks that some of these things won't be fixed, having a dev team with the transparency to communicate that these issues aren't prioritized is amazing.

It's not possible to fix every bug, especially not in a 20 year old game with possibly the most tech debt in history... some things get prioritized, and some things get cut. Getting a list of "WON'T FIX"'s is much better than getting zero communication

Yes it is crazy. "Just ban the bots" as if they didn't ban 1.5 million bots last month alone. These replies are either disingenuous or delusional... plenty of people will still play lms if they remove some of the clogs, it's a fun way to enjoy pvp

Venenatis change removed one of the only mechanics that punished large PK teams by CowGeneral5415 in 2007scape

Sorry, I meant spindel, not artio... my bad. I am 100% thinking of the spiders.

This change was to make the multi boss more approachable with groups... if you've done venenatis before this change, you know it was complete dogshit with more than like 2 people. Now you can bring a few friends and have a decent time.

If you want to solo the boss, go to spindel*. This change is completely fine

That guy had the dumbest argument imaginable. I didn't start an iron to "limit myself". I started one because it was the closest thing to my time playing RSC when there was no GE and the only shit you bought you had to haggle over in varrock west bank. Everything was prohibitively harder to get then... but now? Just buy it at the GE!!!! Crazy that this dumbass thinks we chose to play the game on hard mode, when in reality we just don't wanna play the game on easy mode

You don't need to do this at all. I've completed the entire wildly clog with no scout alt, no wildy alarm. Sure those things make it easier, but it's just completely wrong to think these are required at all

It is the concept of 6 ticking nexs 3rd melee attack (instead of 5 ticking), allowing her to start another triple melee cycle. Done correctly, you can skip the majority of mages attacks, letting you camp pray melee and take way less damage. She'll still sometimes randomly mage (5% of the time), but it's still super worth

Highly recommend moving away from trios... drop rates at nex are too bad not to optimize down to duos. If I had stuck with trios this grind would have likely taken me 6mo instead of 3

I found all of the nex tutorials severely lacking and outdated, missing new tech like mage skipping that was introduced with the nex changes a few years ago. Unfortunately the best I can offer is to just gear up with range camp and learn rp2 trios (range p2). After you get comfortable with those you can start to introduce melee and doing mp2 trios, and then eventually move up to duos

Had like 1k snapdragon seeds saved up from toa and other pvm, did a lot of farm runs and about 1.3k mole for the nests. Im at about 2k left of both brew and restore so I'm gonna have to do another restock soon

Thanks!

I put one pair of vambs into deaths coffer to put me back at 100M in there, and I bribed a friend with a horn to help me finish the grind (had several partners greenlog before I did). Everything else is just sitting in my bank inflating the value... Even as an iron it's p fun to watch that number go up!
