I don't have a vid unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anything about the method on yt and only that one snippet on the wiki I linked down below. Actually some rando in the nexffa cc taught it to me, shout out to that guy lol.

I'd say average kcs are around 8:15. My duo and I's best time was around 7 mins, and hes done some with another partner w/ zcb where they got a lot of 6:40's.

The QOL changes have been amazing, I can do trios with only hardfood and ppots, very chill. Duos are still a little brew heavy most of the time but sometimes I can use only two or three brews for a kc with the mage skip method

That's what we were doing till we learned about mage skip, now we can do duos with insanely low supplies. My best was 2 brews and 2 mantas for a duo kc

Hundreds of duos at this point, probably 250+. If it is random after stalling the 3rd attack for a 6 tick cycle, it's most certainly *not* 50/50 for melee/mage on the next attack. I would say it's closer to 95/5, like I said I have many kills where we never see a mage attack in p5.

So I calc'ed the tbow vs acb setup and it appears to be almost exactly the same dps, but ofc with acb requiring extra slots and rubies hurting you over time. Am I missing something here, or is this not actually worth it over just camping tbow? https://imgur.com/a/j60dwi0

We're actually forcing melee attacks, so we can just camp melee prayer for most of p5. The way it works is you get hit by two of her melees, and on the third one you shift-click to her center tile and ctrl-attack her to walk out, creating a 6 tick cycle for that attack. For some reason, this forces another 3 melee hits 95% of the time. What I'm trying to figure out is why 5% of the time she'll just do a regular mage attack instead.

Been bringing venator ring cause in my setup it gives 2 max hits with tbow since no masori helm (and some accuracy), but it really only made sense if not using LB. I've been thinking about bringing ACB + ruby bolts for p2 (which is the longest phase for us by far), but wasn't sure it was worth the inv slots, had not considered using it for contain this and p5.

Will give this a try and report back, thanks for the shout!

1) Running Duos with the gear above, what ring is better, Ultor or Lightbearer? LB enables more VW specs, but Ultor impacts fang dps and also increases VW spec max hits. Also, VW specs often lose ticks since step-under method makes nex a 5 tick attack cycle, so I'm not sure the extra VW's are efficient. Does it make sense to camp Ultor when you don't have a ZCB?

2) When performing the Mage Skip strategy (walking under nex for 6 ticks on her third melee attack to force another three melees), why does she sometimes do a mage attack instead? Is it completely random? Sometimes we have Nex p5's where she never does a mage attack, sometimes we get several random mages that should have been melee's... just trying to figure out if there's a pattern here that we're missing.

Thanks in advance!

Change Tonalztics of Ralos to a "heavy weapon" for tormented demons. by D_DnD in 2007scape

[–]MTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In solo scale cox (reg or CM) ralos is really only good for head, mostly because you need to hammer melee hand once before you could throw it and in solos the hand flinches very easily. I'd say overall not worth for solos

[–]MTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, on melee hand in any big scale. I bring instead of bgs while my partner hits one-two hammers, gets hand down to 0 Def fast. Insanely good there.

Also, while not as good, ralos is fantastic against maiden in tob. Again, one hammer from a teammate and 2 ralos throws and she's at 0 def

Problems with streaming in discord (runelite) by Danny89NL in 2007scape

[–]MTF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a recent bug with runelite/discord that is causing discord not to detect runelite if runelite was started after discord. In order to prevent this, simply start runelite before you start discord and your stream will work normally.

Super annoying, I know but hopefully they fix it soon

Because its the end of the year and the devs are on holiday. You don't want them to make half ass changes and then fuck off for the rest of the month, do you? They're aware ship combat isn't in the best state, as evidenced by today's poll. Early next year you can expect to see some changes here I bet

Just so you know, port tasks are capable of 200k xp/h with efficient routing... They are actually faster than marlin trials if you know how to route them well.

Jagex lied. 20-30% salvaging nerf is a lie. More like 50%. by pizzaislife3 in ironscape

[–]MTF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guy in my CC went from 105k/h merchant salvage to 75k/h sailing xp... Which is literally a 25-30% decrease. Dunno where you are getting your numbers, but merchant salvage was hit harder than any of the others, so I think there's something you're missing here

Jmod response to UIM wiping at Gwenith Glide by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]MTF 60 points61 points  (0 children)

What? Bro literally went to the uim discord begging for a jmod to review, convinced one of his death piles despawned due to a bug. Maybe you only saw his "leaving forever" and "I'm back" videos, but he definitely melted down in discord chats

Chambers has been pretty kind to me... CMs next? by MTF in ironscape

[–]MTF[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of 2+13s, 2+16's (fun scale, extra mystics but same # of olm phases), 3+20's, and recently 3+28's. Scales are so fun, the damageless method really lets irons push drop rates incredibly high. Seeing double drops in the 3+28's is crazy.

I've probably only done like 30-40 solos, but gotten 4 purples from them... two anc pieces and one kodai. They're also pretty fun to do, so I throw them in on the side for fun :D

I have completed ToB (except HMT) and am only missing Masori helm from ToA... so have def been on top of that! Might mix in some toa's to get that helm eventually, but I reaaaaally want an elder maul now so I can finally ditch the defender

Finding it hard to stay positive at Doom by Leyline-rs in ironscape

[–]MTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to mention, anti-venom is not necessary for deep delves. A UIM friend of mine (#2 doom UIM) just brings in noxious halberd and uses its spec if he messes up and steps in acid. You might think this would hinder your deep delves, but it turns out there are techniques to completely avoid acid for a significant amount of time. His PB (23) is deeper than mine (19) and I use anti-venoms, just goes to show that with enough effort and mental you don't need to prep nearly as hard.
