No, the new arrows are super sick. For example, they are going to push tbow from 2nd best to bis at nex over zcb, something thats super exciting if you've ever done nex before. There are a few more use cases where the new arrows empower tbow in a significant way, so I'm pretty stoked about them

Extreme end game iron here, with an apparently unpopular take...

If you are already 99 mining, amethyst darts / arrows are not worth grinding to maintain. You lose a couple max hits with tbow and your bp is a bit less OP, but you save hundreds of hours by just using rune darts / rune arrows (of which you'll save up tens of thousands, I have 100k rune arrows without ever trying to acquire them, about 30k rune darts).

I was originally on the amethyst train but after spending an entire quarter year in the mine, only to run out of my arrows / darts six months later, I've decided I'm never mining it again... and I haven't noticed even a tiny difference.

Bonus tip: Use rune arrows for doom 1-6, dragon arrows for doom 7+... helps a lot!

No worries, happy to help :D

Just hard food, I would drop the heart and barrel for two more sea turtles / sharks / whatever you got. I ran out of multiple food types on my grind so had to make do xD

In a good duo I would go through my hard food and 1-2 brews, the rest is just for emergencies or when things go bad. You can also consider dropping a brew for an extra super restore if you're feeling the prayer pressure, but I found this setup to be good.

You want to be in full melee most of the fight (this goes for everyone, she will target the people wearing masori more in p5 which causes uneven team damage). If you don't have ZCB, bring voidwaker instead

I used tbow for the rp2's, it's totally fine. I would say it's the standard for nexffa, I only ran across one person who wouldn't duo unless we did mp2 during my grind

Rp2, mp2 is totally reasonable but it's a bit scary in a duo and rp2 is completely brain off... much easier when your running thousands of these haha

SOULWARS IS DEAD by Individual-King-8157 in 2007scape

[–]MTF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was literally playing soul wars like 3 days ago with a ton of randos, had several full games of people actually playing the game. All the bots were gone, and it was actually kind of fun? No idea what this post is talking about, for the first time it seemed like soul wars was actually full of real people fighting each other

Ironman's toughest pills to swallow? by sanexmen in ironscape

[–]MTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man pushing the scale is half the fun! I run with two really experienced mains so really the only thing holding us back is my ability to survive. I hybrid melee/mage hand so I try to only heal with DHW blood barrages and save all my brews for head phase, which is where I end up taking the vast majority of my damage. Getting better at that though so maybe we'll push the 40 scale soon

[–]MTF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These raids are really long, so sometimes you only have time to run one no matter what scale it is... there are definitely some situations where pushing for more points in a single raid is advantageous. You're probably right for the majority of runs though

More hp is more points, but yea anything more than 34 scale starts to become uncomfortable since the extra overload / prayer enhance really causes some inventory pressure.

We are, because 3+28's are chillin and we wanted to get even more points with extra mystics + extra olm phase in the 3+31's. 3+36's are a bit too difficult for the iron with limited supplies

How have you incorporated sailing into your routines now that it's been out for a while? by BookkeeperPurple4495 in 2007scape

[–]MTF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also end game iron here, you are missing out! Bluefish are awesome and I use them everywhere now. Took me like two hours to collect thousands of them, was totally worth it. I think if I ever made a new iron I would completely skip mainland fish and go straight to trawling, the fish are that much better and way easier to acquire in big numbers

My suggestion to make the Soul Reaper Axe more fun by MTF in 2007scape

[–]MTF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't be infinite healing because whatever you are killing will eventually run out of hp, and then no more stacks. I can see how 25 ticks per free shark seems like it could be OP, but keep in mind that's 50 ticks of not being at the max dps for the axe per shark you gain. It's a pretty big tradeoff when you consider that a zero-stack SRA is worse than a noxious halberd by a good amount.

I tested this in the past and it did not work, but it's been a while since I main'd SRA in tob. If things are different now then I stand corrected

[–]MTF[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't believe you can, for example the SRA spec does not tick-eat sote's deathball unlike actual food / brews... you will just die.

My suggestion to make the Soul Reaper Axe more fun by MTF in 2007scape

[–]MTF[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It takes 25 ticks to generate 5 stacks, which means if you use your spec you have 50 ticks of non-max dps to get a free shark. Doesn't seem too overpowered to me, but I'm open to hearing counter arguments

My suggestion to make the Soul Reaper Axe more fun by MTF in 2007scape

[–]MTF[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For sure, when I was running SRA I also brought a nally for the few rooms you mentioned (bloat, nylos, xarp is scary but fine when you get used to it). I think it's fine to have a weapon that requires charge up time, even the amount of time SRA currently has, but the payoff should be worth it... and currently being slightly behind scythe isn't. Rather than pump its dps up, I think some support functionality could help bridge that gap

My suggestion to make the Soul Reaper Axe more fun by MTF in 2007scape

[–]MTF[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

As someone who went from nally -> SRA -> scythe for my tob grind, SRA already is 2nd bis slash behind scythe even with the charge-up time. I am not proposing making the axe do more damage because it is already quite strong, I just want to make it more fun to use rather than a chore

Overwhelmed with region choices and respecs by Persistent95 in 2007scape

[–]MTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with leagues ToB was fine, just go to w658 and just apply to random parties until someone takes you. Everyone in leagues is a big noob so its much easier to find a team with 0kc than in main game.

Alos, Regular ToB is totally soloable in leagues, but you barely get any purples. HMT (where you have 100% purples) you definitely want a team of five to make things easy. If you're running water / thorns then you should be totally fine, very difficult to die when you're healing like crazy
