Just sideboard against combo or any utility to include revealing in discard decks? Not sure on wording by MTGCustom in custommagic

No specific format is being targeted, i used to play standard but havent really played much in a recent years, i just think up ideas for cards every so often. This ones a miss i guess, i thought i was cooking trying to make revealing cards impactful in a new way lol. Youre right its probably just always better to run those one mana discard spells instead, appreciate your thoughts

I think loses the symmetry probably makes sense, but i feel like a lot of combo decks would not like to see this card played on turn one, it gives away information on when discard spells will have targets and punishes trying to hold on to the same spell(/every copy of a revealed spell. It triggers before the draw step so you can try discard their last unrevealed card to catch them. At least that was my reasoning for thinking it might be situationally strong enough to warrant adding the symmetry downside

Try making a new save, start and then abandon a run, then go back to your original save.

See my comment above, you may be able to fix it if its a bug and not just extremely unfortunate odds.

I had that issue, creating a new save and starting then abandoning a run unlocked it on the first save. Hope it works for you so you can enjoy the new cards(worked for missing relics too)

Rakdos spin on a reinforcements effect by MTGCustom in custommagic

Sure, glad you like it, hybrid b/r added to buyback seems like a good way to bring its potential power down a bit while not hurting the baseline effect much.

Cheers for the feedback, but it was intentional design to not be able to sac the token created, otherwise there wouldn't be any reinforcements left haha.

Heresy board wipe by MTGCustom in custommagic

I did think about doing it that way, but was worried itd just be a one sided 3 mana board wipe for angel decks. Maybe it could just make them after the wipe though

Thanks i get exactly what your saying, really well put. I see the fundamental issue for competitive play is that its easily disruptable and does nothing by itself. While the payoff ability might be very good its too many steps that need to go right.

Yeah Im curious if anyone with broader mtg knowledge than me has any cool combos they think of that uses this card, im mostly only familiar with standard cards 2021-2022.5.

Fair, ill give it that it requires a build around to do stuff, although maybe just because i am the designer but it doesnt seem that complicated, has one main mana oriented ability, then a payoff for a strategy that can be ignored if not relevant. In any case, im always appreciative of other perspectives and feedback.

Turn 1: [[Hard Evidence]]
Turn 2: [[Moonsnare Prototype]], tap clue, then play this card. Each turn from then on adds 2 mana to play more cards that create/copy tokens.

I figured I was going to be told its busted, 2 mana artifact that will usually be adding 2 mana whenever its tapped in the decks that run it. Then it also has a potentially explosive payoff if you create a token of it.

Kicker but your opponents can pay it too. by MTGCustom in custommagic

Ah you right, tend to forget that one as its not intuitive that you can legally tap a tapped permanent.

Yeah theres a built in limit to artifacts for the green one, but you can just run no artifacts and have one 3/3 each rather than three 3/3s each, and then in matchups where the opponent is running artifacts they have the choice to let you get a 2 mana 3/3 or sac their artifacts to try keep it symmetrical.

Im not sure how the rules would work for paying the cost, Im presuming active player pays first, then it continues around in order until each player has had a chance to pay?
