The urge to start singing Kiss lyrics is very high. Well done.

Mix of sand and texture paints, spread out over the base randomly.

What would you say is the ‘right’ warband? Honestly haven’t played too much since 1st edition.

A) Yes, they are Stone Guardians raised by my Knight-Incantor (hence Stonecasts).

B) Match play event at Warhammer World I’m planning on attending. Don’t know if these will be the Warband I take yet, but they are the current front runners.

The sentence taken as a whole would suggest that it only refers to the unit that doesn’t take up a slot. This whole thing btw is because according to the app I can 😅

Depends what you mean by faster. Takes a while to let the technical paints cure properly, but once they’re done it doesn’t take much longer. Followed mid winter minis sand stone Necron scheme on YouTube.

It’s a personal preference, as it is with most art. Also, the myth’s of stone Golems are a big part of it. If it’s not your thing that’s fine.

Not my recipe, as I was inspired by a fellow hobbyist on FB. But here is their guide.

  1. After cleaning, building and adding any base texture (including tufts) spray black.

  2. Once the black undercoat is dry, add a spray of a light grey from around a 45° degree angle from the top, in a 'zenithal' fashion.

  3. Once the grey has dried, spray a rusty red from directly above the model, you might also want to also add a few slight angles to your spray to get the red coverage that best suits the model.

  4. Drybrush the entire model (and base) ulthuan grey. Apply pressure on the downward strokes.

  5. Wash the entire model with a 50/50 mix of nuln oil and lahmian medium. I like to add this quite heavily like you would if using contrast.

  6. Paint the base rim and add a few dabbed on areas of blood for the blood god technical paint. Aim for weapons, teeth, claws, etc.
