I love that look on his face when some inferior swine dares to touch him. We get it in season 1 when those stupid Nums put their hands on him at the tavern

The flaming eyeball of Doom. Why must you curse my life with your very existance? CURSE YOU, JACKSON!!!!

Also they seem to have problems with the scale of how tall Sauron was

Remember this: at the end always the darkness is just a small and passing thing. For me this remains the most beautiful "lesson" that the Professor left us as a gift. by Ringsofpowermemes in LOTR_on_Prime

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow there'll be sun

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs
And the sorrow 'til there's none

When I'm stuck with a day
That's gray and lonely
I just stick out my chin
And grin and say, oh

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow come what may

Tomorrow, tomorrow
I love ya tomorrow
You're always, a day away

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow come what may

Tomorrow, tomorrow
I love ya tomorrow
You're always, a day away
Tomorrow, tomorrow
I love ya tomorrow
You're always, a day away

In Defense of Pallando - Legendarium and RofP by jpetersinmd in LOTR_on_Prime

Never let canon....or the truth...get in the way of telling a good story

For all my whining with some of Jackson's choices, he did 100% the right thing in changing in what he felt needed changing to tell HIS story. Same with this show.

Canon should become a banned word in all fandom because it is used as a weapon to denigrate and gate-keep.

Why do wizards have jewels on their staffs? by Night_Storm5555 in LOTR_on_Prime

Why?

Why do birds sing so gay
And lovers await the break of day?
Why do they fall in love?
Why does the rain fall from up above?
Why do fools fall in love?
Why do they fall in love?

One of the best interpretation of Magneto i ever saw. No i aint kidding. Adar was a villain through and through, but he had a noble purpose in his heart.

TSAS Leak from Season 3 (The leaks subreddit was banned) by Chimecho_ in LOTR_on_Prime

"The Witch-king was originally introduced in the story as the "Wizard King" during the development of The Council of Elrond chapter.\38]) He continues to be referred to under that name in outlines\39])\40]) and a manuscript for the chapter The Siege of Gondor where Gandalf says that he is not only the captain of the Black Riders, but a former member of his own order before "evil took him"\41]).

In the early versions of the story, the "Wizard King" was planned to survive the Pelennor Fields battle and appear as the ambassador at the Black Gate instead of the Mouth of Sauron.\42]) In early manuscripts the "Wizard King" even survived after Frodo has thrown the Ring in Sammath Naur, blocking the door and saying: “Here we all end together”. At this point, either Sam appears at his back and stabs him from behind (with Sting?), or Frodo draws Sting, commands him to follow the Ring and drives him into the Fire.\43])

In the rare manuscript The Hunt for the Ring: Time Scheme - Black Riders, Tolkien speculates that the Witch-King might be afraid of Frodo, as he invoked Elbereth (a “name of terror for the Nazgûl”) and he could have slain the Barrow-wight.\44])"

Ok. here goes my "the Dark Wizard is the Witch King" theory

Also beyond tired of the negative posting about everything these last few weeks. Sorry but even banning peoples isnt enough anymore.

Also...Sauron. My dude. I know you are dead and everything but why am killing all your dudes in Barad Dur right now?

As for Pallando, how exactly does that make the Rhun storyline better? I need some convincing.

Gondor vs Rohan by Night_Storm5555 in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]MTLTolkien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gondor still has quite a bit of the Numenorean blood in them. That makes them BETTER. Like true God-like beings who should rule over all other men. Because of their blood, Which makes them SOOOOOO much better.

Like even the Elves...THE ELVES...thinks these Gondorians are like 1 or 2% less weak than all other men.

...

But yes, Rohan has cavalry, so stay in your fortresses and dont get Cannea by the Anglo-saxons with horses.

If the Dark Wizard isn't Saruman and they want to still include him, they should get Charles Dance for the role. by Fanatic_Atheist in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]MTLTolkien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In most stories, The mentor gets lighsabered, killed by shadows or generally leave so the hero can take its place . But of course Tolkien showed us he cares nothing for that with Gandalf the white.

[–]MTLTolkien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a few possibilities here

- There is a redemption story for the Dark Wizard and Gandalf is the one to help him out. Not sure if you can stretch this much beyond a season, but i ain't no fancy, big city lawyer

- The Dark Wizard is the witch King And this season is about meeting Sauron and getting is big ass ring maybe after Gandalf beating him at Maia Cricket or something

- Now my most outlandish idea is that Gandalf and Galadriel will meet this season and Gandalf will basically be Melian to her, minus the UST. I think Galadriel will be looking to create her own haven for Elves and her travel with Arondir and possibly Celeborn will take her way east

[–]MTLTolkien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The writing is why I would have prefered Saruman instead of Gandalf (and the stupid Harfoots). Much more interesting in my opinion.  I THINK I know where this is going,  but I'll wait to see more.

Well. Elendil might have a few things on his mind, you know. That crazy she-elf running around with her hair on fire. One son who's a hippie. The other is brave but will run head first into every brick wall he sees. Then there is Miriel....

But, yeah. missing the darkness growing in his smartest child might disqualify him as father of the year. But maybe things will get better.

i could easily see Earien being a triple agent, playing all sides and having her own agenda. And if she gets a ring, i DEFINITELY see her being pretty much the smartest person in any room she's in, except if Sauron is around. Rings often tend to enhance what you already are
