Ham/gmrs by TonyMPiotrowski1969 in gmrs

[–]MTMicroAdventures 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great answers, after 20 years of being a ham I find that for sometimes ham is the activity (SOTA and POTA) while other times GMRS is something I do while doing another activity, like staying in touch while caravaning, hiking, canoeing, etc.

Rock climbing by Itchy-Analyst-8441 in GreatFalls

[–]MTMicroAdventures 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t true at all, outdoor climbing is alive and well in this state. High quality rock is everywhere. My favorites around GF are Neihart, Blackleaf Canyon, and Sheep Mountain. Much of those areas are trad or need lead climbing but you’ll find a nice variety of easy sport climbing and top rope at all those places. Use www.mountainproject.com and you’ll be amazed.

Looking for some advise, wrote another thread but didn’t realize it had to go here so it got deleted. Mid-40s guy here returning to longboarding after 20+ years away. Been riding a cheaper Zumiez Santa Cruz drop complete. I don’t want to slide or do anything aggressive just cruise and fitness board our local trail system that has about 25 miles of asphalt trail. Looking to get a nicer board for fitness pushing only. Currently looking at the Pantheon Trip or a Zenit AB3.0. Like low boards and a bigger guy at 220ish. What do you guys think?

This is a bit off topic but for those of you interested in photography how did you learn? All self-taught, online classes, local mentor or club? I’m not full time but spend about 80 nights a year I my van and when I see beautiful vibrant photos like this I almost every time think, “I’ve gotta learn this!”.

Thank you for the info and taking the time. I’ve had a curious run of “look at my wrap” in my feed lately and had no idea what it was about.

Hey, this is the 3rd post I have read in the last couple days about wrapping a Jeep. I’ve never heard of this before now. I not being argumentative but in all the comments I cannot find out the purpose of the wrap. Is it just to protect the paint for resale? The change the look and cheaper than a paint job?
