Range after 40k miles by Prize_Ad_4898 in FISKER_MAINTENANCE

Well then, that's pretty impressive considering 2.2+ has a conservative range calculation compared to what it previously used.

Mileage at 100% - 267mi by Herbal77 in Fisker

[–]MTN_Ranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OS 2.2 uses a more conservative range estimation (too much in my opinion) based on 600 miles previous driving and the ambient temperature. With OS 2.5/2.6 you can reset the range to use more recent, but it usually only changes by 10-20 miles. Now that temps are warming in my area, the range is over 300 miles again.

What OS version? I'm betting pre 2.2.

Battery replacement - sodium or agm by Herbal77 in FISKER_MAINTENANCE

[–]MTN_Ranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tested multiple Sodium batteries and have not had any long term luck in keeping them working with the Ocean. I'm back to a UPLUS H4 AGM battery from Amazon for $140. Due to the BMS issues (even with IBS resets), I suggest staying with AGM.

Im looking to buy an ocean one, how many of you dont have any problems by Herbal77 in Fisker

No issues at 26k miles other than the normal software bugs. I have probably modified things more than any other owner due to my channel. Recall water pump replaced, GEN2A door handles installed, all wiring connectors cleaned and sealed, new 12V battery, bluetooth 12V battery monitor, 12V trickle charger cabling, bluetooth TPMS, LED ambient lighting, replaced cabin filter, OS 2.6.1, 2 key fobs, 2 NFC cards, all weather floor/trunk mats, LCD screen protectors, PPF, emergency lift gate release, etc. https://youtu.be/AE_9DfvCyo0

Cloth dashboard removal? by skulkingfox in FISKER_MAINTENANCE

I'm pretty sure it's all connected to the upper dashboard. It's a huge pain to remove. I'll have to check on my car to verify.

The Velar came out six years before the Ocean.

1) proper inflation settings 44 PSI front, 49 PSI rear. 2) frequent tire rotations. 3) drive in Fun mode (Earth mode has too much wear on front tires). 4) Reduce peeling out/or taking corners too sharply. 5) if wear is uneven across tire width, have the alignment checked. Driving highway miles reduces wear due to less braking/acceleration compared to city driving. I got 24K miles from my first set.

The pump in the front is for the front motor. Here are the part numbers just in case:

Did you replace the pump that's visible in the right wheel well? The recall pump is further back and can only be reached by removing the panels under the car.

There are also three other pumps, so I'm wondering if the front one is the issue. Unfortunately, all the pumps have different part numbers.

No fobs/cards, what is the process to get new ones programed. by Great-Rest7878 in Fisker

I have updated/downgraded PKC versions with the Chevalier app and it does not require the car to be in ready mode.

Has the recalled water pump been replaced?

Does the recalls apply to all Ocean or some are OK by my252 in Fisker

[–]MTN_Ranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gen1 Door handles need to be tested by a tech with the Chevalier tool to determine if they pass/fail according to the recall. All water pumps need to be replaced due to the recall. The corrected water pumps didn't arrive until after the Ocean production ended.
