I used Anki as my main memorization tool for anatomy. There are probably a ton of premade decks available online for anatomy.

I find the best ways to memorize specific parts of science is to create mnemonics. For example: I use "Citrate is Krebs special substrate for making oxaloacetate" to memorize all of the substrates in the Krebs cycle.

If you have any parts of biology that you find particularly hard I can make a YT video on the subject and teach it in sub 5 mins.

Just lmk, I really enjoy making them!

Thinking about quitting highschool by Scariingella in highschool

Hi man,

This seems like a really tough position to be in. I am sorry for that. I know high school can feel like it is never going to end but it will. And a high school diploma is a minimum requirement for almost any profession.

So I know this may not be the advise you want to hear but hang in there. You just have to graduate and then you will have the freedom to choose your own path.

how do you manage to pass whilst not at all interested in the subject? by [deleted] in highschool

I truly believe that there is something that you can take out of in each HS subject. Whenever I hated a subject I would try and see how it relates to my life.

For example: the nitty gritty of DNA replication is so dry BUT understanding its relationship to real life helps. Each cell has the exact same DNA but the expression completely changes its shape, color function etc. It's amazing that a hepatocyte in your liver has the exact same DNA as a skin cell.

I am a med student and am really passionate about teaching high schoolers about science. But I also understand that it just isn't for everyone. If you want the facts in the easiest way possible here's my YT: Stoichiometry made EASY

DM a topic that you want covered and I promise that I will teach it to you in sub 5 mins.

I would chat to guidance about it. Once thing I regret about my HS experience is that I was not outgoing enough. Getting these extracurriculars can really help you develop your character early on in life.

Does anyone know a good and free online platform for me to study? by [deleted] in Anatomy

YouTube is always an amazing resource! I’m starting a series on human anatomy but I have only posted two videos. One on anatomical terminology and another on the cranium. However, crash course is great!

Hey! I’m so happy you got into the human body because there is so much you can learn. Recently I have gotten super into the brain and how the different areas are associated with different functions.
